From his posts here it’s pretty clear that he has little interest in public policy outside of an emotional attachment to guns. Is it really surprising that he thinks shit talking is the mark of a good leader as opposed to...say...actual competence?

Trump would never survive as an adult on his own. He would be on the ground looking up if he pulled this crap without protection. He's more like the idiot son of a Mafia Don.

Well, there is some truth to his belief. A lot of people secretly love the heel in pro wrestling and Trump is an actor knowingly playing that role. And the reason Trump plays the heel is to hide what really got him elected, which is racism.

I don’t think that’s what’s happening here. Trump knows he is historically unpopular. He also knows he has a lot to hide. I think he’s latched on to his base in a death grip because he knows that’s the only thing that stands between him and impeachment or worse.
