Today was a great day! Went out with family and friends, had good food and lots of fun! 😀
I can't tell you how thankful I am for this day. Even though I'm 45, I thank GOD that I am even around to celebrate. Last year at this time, I was in the hospital, hooked up to a monitor and oxygen, dealing with the harsh reality of having a blood clot in my leg and in my lungs. The docs at that time said I was very lucky, as it could have been fatal. :Q
It's taking me a long time, but today I feel so much better, so much more like my old self. I am off the blood thinners, no re-occurance of the clots. Still get winded fairly easily. I am so grateful for this day. 🙂
I thank all of my TA mates for helping me pull through, for being there, for the jokes, the fun, the sharing, the racing this year. I AM a lucky man! 😀
Tonight sums it all up for me. Good food, good fun, good friends, loving family. Those are the riches to treasure, each and every day! 😀
