Some people just need to let stuff go. I'm sure for as badly as he F'd up, he has suffered for it. He angered many of us, but time has passed.

We now have a multitude of new bunghole sniffers to attend to........... 😉

Actually, in some of the off forum exchanges Denis and I had, he really is a good man, in his heart. He tried to apologize, albeit, under some dress...cough cough, I mean DURESS, but he's always been a good dude in my book.

Red, I think you'd be in the minority on this one. I wouldn't hassle him either, but the mods would probably have to pull triple duty to keep those who would at bay if they let him back. It'd be a bandwagon effect. There would be a few who'd hassle him, and then more and more, and finally people who don't even know who he is would start up.
 
🙁 guys I want to tell you about a girl I know who was an AT member. Her and her daughter were hit by a car and killed recently. 🙁 blah blah blah. What a hoser that guy was, but gotta give him props, he got the whole board to fall for it. If he hadn't used the picture of that little known porno star, he'd probably still be here. 🙂

It has happened since then. Look at PCResources. 99% of the board fell for that too. I never trusted him, since he did drive a porche, was a lawyer, in the special forces, and was a uber-genius.

Back to topic, i sorta miss the way he would sign off his posts with a song...

To be honest, I still don't see what's the deal with dennilfloss. So he created a fictional character and later told everyone that she was killed in an accident.
Point is that through a medium like the internet, one can not possibly perceive who is real and who is not. There's insufficient reason to assume that someone exists by a number of posts on a forum like this.
You don't believe that someone exists when you engage in a conversation through email, SMS, IM or snail mail, do you?

Until you've seen the person him or herself, logic dictates that that person might or might not be real.

If all that was done was the "lie" about nowheremom, I wouldn't have cared. I cared that, in order to protect the lie, he abused friendships and got other members banned (for example, the SETI team founder). As far as I can tell, that was the reason for the permanent ban, not the story he made up.

I would also love to see dennilfloss back again, but we all know it won't happen. It would indeed cause too much trouble. Sucks that all that crap had to happen. But I did and still do think that he is a decent dude, but I don't know much about him, so my opinion doesn't mean much. How he ended his post with a song all the time was pretty cool, and from what I could tell he was a pretty good AnandTech member.

Regardless of how "nice" a guy he is, he's also a loon. We're pretty well stocked with loons as is.
