Halo PC Benchmarks?

I'd like to see some site have some benchmarks with halo see how it runs for people. Anyone know of a site like this?

Would be nice if Anandtech did this. *hint hint* 😛

I don't think that there are any "official" benchmarks yet, but I'm sure some of the people here could help you out, not that I know of anyone with a beta or anything 😉

I could help myself out with something more than a beta but im looking for an array of testing to see if this game really performs this freaking crappy all across the board.

The following was run at 1024x768 @ 32-bit res on the FLT release, or so I hear. 😛

Date / Time: 9/26/2003 9:53:55 PM (33724796ms)
Intel Pentium 4 2.53 GHz @ 2600MHz, 512MB, 128M nVidia GeForce4 Ti4200-8x (DeviceID=0x0281) Driver=6.14.10.4523 Shader=1.3
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe -vidmode 1024,768,85 -timedemo (Version=1.0.0.564)

Frames=4700
Total Time=215.88s
Average frame rate=21.77fps

Below 5fps= 8% (time) 0% (frames) (19.182s spent in 13 frames)
Below 10fps= 11% (time) 1% (frames)
Below 15fps= 32% (time) 13% (frames)
Below 20fps= 39% (time) 18% (frames)
Below 25fps= 53% (time) 33% (frames)
Below 30fps= 83% (time) 70% (frames)
Below 40fps= 96% (time) 91% (frames)
Below 50fps= 98% (time) 95% (frames)
Below 60fps= 99% (time) 96% (frames)
Memory used Max=160MB, Min=129MB, Ave=149MB

Suffice it to say, a nearly top of the line system got bitchslapped.

That's beta.

The Sept. 30th release should be MUCH different.

The above benchmarks are from the FLT release that came out last night. I've heard rumours of it being beta as well, but nothing definite. You have a link?

I stand corrected then... But i would be more inclined to believe it's beta..

plus a ti4200 is a DX 8 card..

A 9500 Pro upward should perform a bit better.

A GF 5600 is just a waste to show how performance will stack up..

I agree, i would like to see something from ATi or even a 5900 Ultra..

🙂

Ti4200 is 2 generations old now. Not top of the line at all and not a DX9 part which is what Halo uses some of

yea, i bet a lower end cpu with a better videocard could beat his system. its not all about the cpu beyond a certain point for most games now.

Forgot to add that..

I'll still wait till Sept 30th to judge the game.

I would NOT NOT NOT suggest buying this game bro. Wait and see how it performs for other people since everyone thinks retail will be so much different...

You'd skip one of the best games of the year because you had to lower settings to see high framerates?

That's what I just said, It's release is set for Sept. 30th, until then i'll wait... I played the Beta and it seemd "ok" but nothing i wouldn't expect from a beta.
