haven't played halo or any console fps for years doesn't help either lol
The grunts aren't any easier or difficult imo. I've gotten nailed by them jumping out from behind something with a plasma cannon to my face. Then again I'm playing solo legendary right now. those dogs are a pain in the ass the the way they move around sometimes they frequently turn their heads away from you.
I got so frustrated this weekend, I spent about 3 hours on the infinity level trying different tactics to "defend the hill" from wave after wave of the dogs and the knights and protectors. Almost lost my mind until I saw a walkthrough of it where they just used the turret exclusively. Here I am trying to take them all down with just my weapons. Sneaking around to the high point hiding behind rocks when I should have jsut rambo'd it lol. Definitely overstrategized that one.
For anyone complaining about the AI, the AI has never been a strong point in the Halo games (can't speak for Reach, though). I've been TOLD it gets better on harder difficulties, but this was not the case when I play through Halo 3. It might be different on Halo 4, as I've only played through it on normal. Either way, the AI in Halo 4 seems on par with the previous games. Except, hmm...the AI for banshee flying is pretty awful in Halo 4. They usually end up stuck in a corner within 30 seconds. I can't remember if other Halos had that problem.
Alright, I've decided I don't really like the game all that much. It's probably a long shot, but if anyone hasn't bought it yet and is thinking about it, let me know. I'd like to sell mine and get more than the 20-30 that gamestop would give me for it. For what its worth, I haven't used the pre-order code that came with the game, so you could have that too, obviously.
Doh i just bought it for 35 used local or i would have bought yours. Want to get rid of your preorder code by chance?
Perhaps, if I don't get someone who wants to buy both. What do those go for nowadays?
I think this is intentional as they want to give the opportunity to hijack it and use it during the campaign. It happens like you said way to frequently to be a conincidence.
Wow i am terrible at this game, jumped right into some multiplayer last night and was just getting owned. I normally like assault rifles in shooter games, but ya after playing with mouse and keyboard for so long i am just terrible gah!
thats why they have a campaign. your supposed to hone your skills on the fundamentals before jumping into MP. Beat the game on heroic and then test your skills in MP. Guarantee a much improved performance.
hah guess there is no halo tourney this weekend then! i haven't played it since last thursday and am only like on level 4 or so still. may not even be around saturday though because i may go pick up my new speakers.
Team SWAT is back
played another level in the campaign last night and just feel very "meh" about the game thus far after not playing it for a while. it may be that my interest in FPS in general simply isn't what it once was.
I'm on the last level of the campaign solo on legendary. With the exception of one part that i mentioned in a previous post I thought it was a very good campaign. Lots of nice extra cut scenes not found in previous halo's. Lots of surprises withh new vehicles and combat scenarious. I'm am definitely more engaged in this campaign than the previous.
The campaign is a step up from Reach this time for sure.
Same here. I am genuinely excited for Bio shock Infinite. Hopefully, it's my gateway drug back into single player adventures.
Lol yeah. Gotta do headshots. I bet my ratio is about the same in MP
