I went through a phase in the late '80s (my teen years) when I listened to bands like this. I always though it was kind of funny how they would always try to look so menacing and brutal in photos, considering they were supposed to have the...you know... joy joy joy joy down in their heart and everything.

I never really noticed it too much, because a lot of hair metal was heavy on the cheese to begin with. But now...Holy Shit.

I found reference to Stryper opening for them in 2006 in Mexico, but with the tour ending up being canceled before the show(s).

The most religion we got on Halloween was slips of paper with bible verses with the candy. Whatever, we got the candy. The hardcore religious types, I assume, just turned out the porch lights and didn't participate. The heaviest proselytizing came from the local dentist who handed out toothbrushes instead of candy. We still went to his house because the decorations were always over the top.
