Half-life 2 Game play Movie.... I am still in shell shock!!!!

I noticed that in the videos, the color on the walls and sky seem to be constantly morphing between green, purple-ish, and yellowish. Is something wrong with my Quicktime player? I just updated it too. Hmm..,..😕

might have something to do with the storyline
eg some funky accident/disaster with the dimensional portal thingie

I think it's called the "Source" engine. Built from the ground up by Valve, as far as I can figure.

yeah the source engine was built by valve.... thats what they have being doing for the past few years, and thats why not much was said about the game since the engine was the main focus.

well, i can't really say. but i definitely was dissappointed. everyone here is praising the vid clips, so i coudln't wait to see em. then one finishes, but i realize that it's a goddamn camcorder captures!!! it just doesn't give the right effect.

And those are just games with great innovation (RE2 allowing you to play through without killing anyone, UT2k4 bringing DM, vehicles and GFX to hopefully the right level, Doom 3 with its GFX, HL2 with AI/GFX and the storyline)

Can't think of anything else off the top of my head to rock the world, but who needs more?!

Oh, and the suggestion HL2 was based off the Q3 engine, I found that comment quite funny. Not even Valve could push an engine that much.

for those complaining about speeds, just install a download accelerator (i like star downloader, freeware) so you can have multiple connections at the same time... i was maxing out my connection that way (300KB/s+) 🙂

Yeah...F .... U.... lol. I gotta say, the way things move, and the interaction in that game is unparalleled. I couldn't get over how the mattresses just sloshed over, and the A.I. Doom III has a serious adversary, both in terms of a game and an engine. Two bananas up! 😎:beer:
