Hair cuts, and jobs...

TridenT

Lifer
What hair cut? 🙁

My parents told me to get a hair cut before a job, so.. Yeah. I don't exactly(at all) look good with my hair being short. My hair tends to hide all my fail.

You are immediately judged by your appearance. Immediately and you can't get that back. If you have unkempt or uncut hair you will be judged a slob. Get a hair cut before any interview, cut your nails, clean shaven, shoes and clothes look good, etc.

lol 😉

Appearance is first impression whether you like it or not.

Just being honest. Did I get a haircut and shave when I went for my job interview? No. 😉

If someone denies me employment because of my looks, I probably don't want to work there anyway.

this

it also helps in an interview to tell people you're arrogant and a smart ass. Honesty is appreciated!

I used to have long hair, but I shaved it all off during my senior year of college... pretty much everyone said I looked better with it shaved 🙂

😕

I was actually being serious, haha. Obviously it can't be applied universally, though. If your job requires you to always look sharp, then that is a different story. I guess I just don't work(nor would I like working) those type of jobs.

The unwritten rule around here appears to be, "If you hair is long enough to be tied into a ponytail, it probably should." Lots of higher-ups with ponytails at my workplace - the dress code is still 'strictly formal' Mon-Thu.

Any guy with short hair will look better than having long hair.

Ponytail for me at work, too.

I'll take a picture of my "long" hair. :-/ I don't exactly know how to make it look NOT unkempt. I just took a shower, so.. hermm... I need to dry off and put on some clothes...
