As I'm a lover not a fighter I don't claim to be fight with a stick lol.
I was f0cked. It was a long days filming and the constant adrenaline high and lows. I was SHATTERED.
Imagine doing a bunch of circuits throughout the day with huge adrenaline spikes. Then doing back to back 15M sprints, it was just ridiculously punishing.
It was intense. Felt like my arms were going to rip off but I was f0cking determined to stay on though. The adrenaline carried me through to be honest. I doubt I could do that without the adrenaline as that guy is a hefty dude!
Yeah man hard to beleve it was 2yrs ago! The show was filmed 19th April 2008!
The handbike was f0cking tough after all the events of the day. The day battered you and I grossly under estimated it. We never ran the final eliminator in one piece. We only did it in pieces. The issue was we only ever did it 'fresh' . I zipped across it twice fresh, but the other events and being tired really affected me. Like do a circuit of stuff and then max out your pull up numbers, it won't be the same as if you did it fresh. I really should have thought about it and worked on it but we didn't get that much time to prep for the show.
And yes it was a ridiculous idea to do what I tried to do! I was really was just desperate and completely shattered. Stamina is not my forte
That last event was brutal! You worked your ass off all competition for a 2.5 second lead that disappeared 6 times over because of one tiny mistake. Nice work at the finish though
I don't understand the rules so clarify for me but why did you let go with a few secs left on the rings? I thought the guy said you could double your score[I guess from 5 to 10]? I didn't quite get the rest, not great with English accents.
LOLOL @ the holding part. Dude after he got DQ'ed, I loved how you chose to break through the wall and then declare victory. I saw it the first time you post this up, but I guess I never really noticed that
edit:
LOL
"She still has time to get the to the gladiator's platform, but she seems too busy celebrating to notice!"

I let go because the Ref told me to drop. They may have edited that out? I didn't think I'd have enough time but the fact that the Ref said drop early on meant that I couldn't do jack.

Maybe it's the editing but it seemed like you hung around for quite a while after that Gladiator fell off of you. You seemed to be doing backflips and stuff like a gymnast and just pumping your fists until you finally let go with like 5 secs left. I was wondering why you didn't try to get on the platform?
edit: just watched again, you had a good 20 secs left when he fell?

They also mentioned that competitors weren't allowed to stay put for more than 10 seconds at a time. I'm assuming that doesn't include the time spent with the gladiator hanging on them, but he was so exhilarated/exhausted at that point, I'm not surprised he didn't move right away.
