And the blister is the size of kentucky, right on the bottom of my foot....

Are you supposed to drain these? Last time i had it frozen, it wasnt nearly this big, nor painful.

Those are no fun, I had laser surgery on one when I was about 11. Why not ask your podiatrist what you should do?

They are a PITA. My son had one when he was 4 and was so traumatized by the repeated attempts to freeze/burn/scrape it off. His pediatrician refused to try freezing it again and suggested the following - apply the salicilic (sp?) acid treatment (Compound W, etc.) and then cover the whole thing with duct tape. Repeat daily.

Sounds crazy but it worked - was gone in about a week and no pain.

No, you do not drain a blister. Doing so opens it to infection and slows healing time.

That said, it's best you ask your doctor.

Pretty sure i picked this one up sharing a shower with my floormates last summer in Oxford. I wore sandals everyday, but once in a while they would slip off for a sec.

AFAIK, a wart is a virus. Hard as heck to get rid of too.

After the acid didn't seem to work, I took a big toe nail cutter & ripped it up, root & all.

I feel for you. I have a friend who suffers from that, and the damn thing wouldn't go away. He had his foot carved (deep too) so many times, but if they miss even one cell, it would grow back.

I had quite a few of those on my feet. My doctor just cut em out with a knife. That was a great experience.

my doctor gave me some solution to put on it with a bandage and then at night i would 'dig' it out. rinse and repeat every night until it was gone

OMFG?! Didn't that hurt?

After it came back once I just got fustrated & started picking at it. It's mostly just skin. I didn't notice it had a root till i started tugging at it.

That's kinda weird looking. All the plantars warts I every had or seen were relatively flat and totally covered with the darkened area.

I guess I shouldn't mention about the one I had on the underside of my tongue that I removed myself.
