I had one... tried some acid the doc prescribed, but that didn't help, after using it for a long while.

I eventually got sufficiently tired of it, and cut it out with a pen knife, and then plastered the area with the acid. It didn't return.

I have a few on one foot. they do go away eventually and they're not painful. Why bother "treating" them. Eventually your body will get sick of them there and do away with them....

yea, i had a multi-year battle with one not so long ago... they don't always go away, and on rare occasions, can actually spread to other parts of the body. it always seemed to come back after freezing... i eventually got rid of it using some dr. scholl's liquid wart remover. no inflamation, no pain (just a little rawness at times)... highly recommended.

I think some of you are confused. Thats not really the wart itself, thats the blister that forms from the liquid nitrogen spray...

On a side note, it looks 10000x worse now.

I had one for about 15 years on my foot that never got painful. It finally started to spread (onto my thumb of all places !!) and I then had it removed. Nasty stuff indeed, but consulting a doc is the safe way to go before that blister starts to erupt.

Heh, just came across this when reading about freezing warts, and when a blood blister forms...

The Cheyenne Skin Clinic almost never freezes warts on the bottom of the foot, as this is extremely painful.

lovely.

and damnit;

Warts on the bottoms of the feet (plantar warts) are much more difficult to treat because of the weight-bearing factor. Using the freezing warts method can leave painful scarring to be endured and is often senseless pain given the alternatives.

I guess I shouldn't mention about the one I had on the underside of my tongue that I removed myself.

*** WARNING AGAIN, REALLY REALLY GROSS ***
picture, day 2

I think i may need to see a doctor. Walking literally almost brings tears to my eyes, and i don't think it supposed to look like that.

Drain it, peel the dead wart and patch of dead skin off. Bandage it up real well with some neosporin. This should stop the ridiculous pain of walking, and it should heel in about a week or so.

I had one of those a few years back. I ignored if for a few YEARS because it wasn't bothering me, by the time it started to cause pain it was pretty big and deep. It took about 8-10 sessions to get rid of it! I had to walk on the side of my foot so it didnt hurt too much. Only good part was they gave me hydrocodone for the pain :)

you can get warts almost anywhere. It's the genital and oral ones that freak ppl out, yet mostly the same as anywhere else.

HPV is a major cause...not toads. Many probably have it and do not know. It can take decades for signs to show (if ever, many of the strains; about 90 of them, are asymptomatic).

The major problem with HPV is that a type can cause cervical cancer in females. This is one of the asymptomatic types.
