5 guys has crap. It almost seems liek some sort of heard mentality with people liking it. The only thing going for it is that it is not overpriced crap.

I would say the exact opposite of everything in this post. Their food is very good, but it is also a little overpriced.

You should have complained,..

sounds like your 5 guys needs new management.. all the other ones Ive been to including the one we ate at last night do not have this issue at all.

burgers are great moist and cooked perfectly and always tasty.
i went to a new one not far from where I work...the food was good, but it wasnt $11 for a burger, fries and soda good. the prices are ridiculous.

who the hell eats a big burger and a bag of regular fries. you must be a fatty. 1 burger fills me up or a small burger and maybe half a fry.

I have been to 5 guys twice (two different ones) and both times the burgers and fries were great. One was in RI the other in CT.

Must be a bad store---should have complained. Not sure how you can get dry hamburger when they are all made fresh to go.

Nice try, undercover In n' Out manager!

Seriously though, best burger I've ever had, but their fries leave a lot to be desired, wasn't a fan of the cajun seasoning either.
I hope you mean 'best fast food burger' because surely no fast food burgers compare to a nice homemade charcoal grilled burger.

It sucked the big one. The patties (either they break up one patty into 2 halves and stack them on top of each other to make it look taller or the cook messed up it my patty) were thin, DRY, borderline overcooked, and tasteless. Is this their signature, overcooked patties?? With all the hype, I was extremely disappointed, and will never go back. Their fries were just OK, nothing to rave about, I did not get the Cajun style kind. Am I the only person that don't like their burgers??

Nope. They pretty much suck.

I haven't been to Five Guys yet, though I did happen to spot one not too far away from where I live. In comparing Five Guys to In 'N Out, one of my friends said that Five Guys ends with a bigger shit and lighter wallet.

I've had their burgers twice, and for the price of them don't think I'll be eating them very often, not worth the price.

I will second this. I've never had a burger better than the ones my dad cooks up the charcoal grill. I had Five Guys near Boca Raton, and it was decent, but no where near the homemade deal.

There is a burger place in our area called Juicy Burgers & More, I actually like their burgers more than 5 guys. There is always a line out the door during lunch when we go. About the same pricing as five guys, they have online ordering, and even in-store self touchscreen ordering if you don't like talking to anyone.

I've eaten once or twice at 5 different locations over the past few years and it's always tasted the same (delicious). The patty was "split in half" because their regular burgers are 2 patties (small is 1 patty).

i agree with op, five guys is bland and tasteless, like it needs some thousand island, mayo and seasoning. it doesnt even taste charbroiled. it isnt anywhere near the best burger. it does taste more homemade but that isnt a particularly good thing.

the fries are really mediocre. the skin makes them tough and dry

chilis, red robin and most diners (lori's, johnny rockets around here) have much better burgers and they are probably cheaper. nation's is really good with their sweet mayo and rings of onions

here in san francisco they have nicer burger places too like burgerbar and burgermeister that are always rated highly in national surveys

Someone always has to do this, compare a tiny burger joint with one or two locations to a nationwide joint.

Anywho Five Guys isn't as good as everyone makes it out to be. In-N-Out fo life yo!!!!

Yeah there's a thread about this every month but let me be clear...Five Guys blows, In-N-Out rules.

Five guys just goes next door to burger king, get's the $1 double cheeseburger and charges $6 for them, and $4 for fries.

I can't believe Five Guys ever gained popularity...only with people who don't know what good food is I guess.

Lol, such utter nonsense. Maybe if you grew up only eating McDonald's or something and need a very slight upgrade, then you go for In-N-Out since it tastes pretty much the same as McD's.

Five Guys actually tastes like real food unlike In-N-Out, which is not terrible, but it's just like any other fast food joint.

Just the opposite of this.

5 Guys is the absolute worst.
