Just sold my Mhz to get level 7 virus. I only lost 120k over night and had 500k waiting for me when I got up. I think one guy is trying to figure out my sleep pattern, he keeps striking me at random times during the day since he got the 120k.

yeah me too, I lost about 375k while I slept

I told ya. You should have read all my tips. You should have listened. Last night, before I went to bed, I put in a little comment about having just spent all my kbps to upgrade my vault. Really, I didn't. I upgraded my virus. This morning, I had several 100,000 credits to blow on upgrading my kbps back to where it was (and beyond.)

I should probably write some random comment in there too. Personally, I just hit anyone independent of whether or not they have anything written. 🙂

Just so you know you can set the limit to 1000 so it's all on one page. But this game is too simple gets boring soon :s

Changed. we'll see if that works 🙂

I've got a new crush, this guy has attacked me 4 times today, first 2 times he got some credits

cocojr 26 minutes ago You were defeated. 0 1242
cocojr 2 hours ago You were defeated. 0 1382
cocojr 12 hours ago You were defeated. 47,098 798
cocojr 12 hours ago You were defeated. 60,668 971

So I attack him back and get over half what I lost back

CoCojr 4 minutes ago You succeeded. 71,862 450

I keep losing so many infected machines. I've been at 40k/tick with a level 7 virus for over a day and a half now due to attacks

ATOT is 4th. We need to really hit WhatCD and ThreeInches; we can take 2nd by the time the game is reset!

When will the game be reset? I am not sure I will restart if it does...

Upgrading your Mhz will reduce the number of machines you lose.

I guess I'm getting in on this late. Kinda confused cause I haven't taken the time to read.

Focus on Attack or Defense first?

It might be fun to restart on an even playing level now that we've got all this strategy formed.

But, I'm sort of losing interest too...

I would say keep them even.

At first, focus solely on attack. If you spend every credit on attack, you can't lose anything so defense is moot. At least for the start, then migrate to a more balanced setup. Defense is more to protect your infected machines than your actual credits (again, protect credits by buying attack/defense).

If this really gets reset I won't be playing again cus that just pisses me off since all the work you've done is gone and means nothing.

Build up your virus as quickly as possible. Whenever possible, sell all your kbps to purchase virus. You can always attack someone ranked in the 800's & occasionally find someone who hasn't been playing or attacked in 3 or 4 days. The number of credits you get is a crap shoot, unless you're really really keeping careful track of everyone's rank & when they seem to be playing. Since when you sell your kbps back, you only get 75%, a decent rule of thumb is to multiply your current kbps by 9 to figure out its cash value. Once you get up to about 700,000 kbps, the multiplier goes up a bit.

Tip for all:
Then, it's time to bust out the windows calculator.
To calculate your net sell-off value, do this for each separate type of connection:
Let's say you have 9 512kbADSL connections. The current price is 7654 credits.
7654/512 = 14.94921875
Average this with 12 = 13.474
So, when you sell back that particular level, the avg sell price is 13.474 each. However, you only get 75% of that. So, multiply it by .75 = 10.1 per kbps
Now, you have nine 512kbps connections.
9*512*10.1 is very close to what you'll get back.

Simply do this for each type of connection & use the M+ button. When you're done, you'll know how much you'll get from the sale. The whole process might take 2 minutes, but it's better to know for certain before you try to spend 960,000 on a level 7 virus, only to come up 50,000 short. What do you do then? Wait and hope no one attacks you?! (Last night, I came up just a couple thousand short - I had counted on 40k from the tick, and was hit 3 times just before the tick, lost 2000 computers, and only got 30k at the tick. I forgot to factor that loss of income in.)

Yay! DaTT is going to take my account. Now I just have to get the pw from my gf 😛

I'll keep both of them going....depending on what happens during reset...just say the word if yoiu want it back.

Probably just use it as a farming account 🙂. Too bad you can't sell off your vaults.

The excel file did me some good this morning. I had a half day interval in the data. I got a few 100k - 200k hits off that.

Right now, I tried a 2 hour interval of data. I looked for the big negative numbers and got bad hits. Sub 5k hits each time.

I use an excel spreadsheet to do it much more easily.

Each unit costs 1.02 times more than the previous (rounded up)
example:
selloff cost of 8000kbps
69,000 0
70,380 1
71,788 2
73,224 3
74,689 4
76,183 5
77,707 6
79,262 7
80,847 8
82,464 9
84,114 10
85,797 11
87,513 12
89,264 13
91,049 14
92,870 15
94,728 16
96,623 17
98,556 18
100,528 19
102,539 20
104,590 21
106,682 22
