If you guys haven't figured out this too, you can actually sell and buy at the same time. So let's say you want to sell two lesser and purchase a more powerful upgrade, put two in the sell column, and one in the buy column, it will automatically do the math for you and purchase whatever you can afford.

Why on earth would you do that?? I can't imagine that you'd ever come out ahead (you lose 25% when you sell)

I'm just ganna check in once a day now so I gather up enough credits from my infections and then buy the big stuff. All this is in hopes no one big hacks me. I checked in from last night and already had enough money to buy a new virus and other upgrades. I horribly need to upgrade my crap so only once a day so I have a crapload of money.

Do you guys bottom feed or is there a penalty for feeding on tiny people or do you hit people in your target range?

Or do you guys top feed (hitting high up people)?

I bottom fed for a while then went in the middle now. You really have to pick your people carefully to get the right kind of money.

51000kbps cannot beat a rank 194. And to think a 35000kbps beat a 205 yesterday. I guess I'll stick to the low 200's for now and keep upgrading.

Well certainly, but I know a lot of games that have penalties when you attack out of range. I kinda wanted to know whats the best route to go.

Some games have top feeding penalties to prevent people from going "offense only" and then scoring insane hits on top ranked gus... haha.

Are you guys balancing offense and defense? I'm going 2:1 offense:defense for now...

Still waiting on Invite...last text based game I played with ATOT was OGame.....fun but got to be too much of a "job"....OH NOES...GOTTA GET HOME AND FLEET SAVE!!!!11!1

Meh, I go straight for the top guys that I can get my hands on. My offensive power and defensive ratio is roughly 10:1.

Here are some of my greatest hits so far:

You succeeded. 162,361 877
You succeeded. 108,034 1118
You succeeded. 90,348 1601
You succeeded. 48,043 731
You succeeded. 32,637 347
You succeeded. 30,621 701
You succeeded. 30,094 1491

And numerous > 30Ks hits. It feels good to be a gansta!!!

It allows me to buy into the higher bracket, while stacking the lower ones and not having to worry about losing money. It balances out in the end.

I've been without internet for the last couple days, since I'm moving. Been using my BlackBerry to play though.

it seems to me that hitting higher ranks ups your rank faster? I could be wrong...

I mostly bottom feed for now, as there's some serious credits stockpiled in many inactive accounts. I try to do a little of both, but so far, bottom-feeding has been more profitable.

It could be that the size of your profits strongly influences rank, as well. maybe that's where the big numbers come from. If that's true, then bottom feeding is a solid strategy until level 5 or so virus?

I just hit DaTT for 6% and got 1 credit. Somehow that is worse than 0 credits from a high ranking player.

EDIT: Just found out DaTT is ATOT 😱

Anyone else find the countdown timer sucks? I get money and an IP when it reaches about 28 minutes... (ie. it is about two minutes out/fast - 28 = 0)

I usually get money 5 minutes late. But, that is a known bug.
