So unless BF3 Makes better use of the shaders in a 6970, one of those $230 OC'd 6950's are going to be best value for BF3s.

We'll have to see how the 570 and the 560ti do, but seeing as the are definatly going to be slower than a 580, I can say with confidence they aren't going to change the situation much.

Those cards should handle 1080p fine if you disable deferred MSAA.

From looking at a user benches as well, a gtx580/6970 class card at 1080p with 4xMSAA and ultra gets around 45 fps. Turning off MSAA, using post AA at high and its 60+ fps.

IMO, post AA at high cause a screen wide blur effect which reduces IQ. I use it on medium and the textures are more sharp while the AA is good enough. Turn off motion blur, thats the most annoying thing, esp in multiplayer.

Sandbags update.

They look the same as in beta. The game doesn't use tessellation! Also ultra is ultra in beta. The visuals are very similar between beta and release in Multiplayer maps.

How about silhouettes on the mountains; are there any differences there? Just because Crysis 2 used tessellation on sandbags doesn't mean all developers will.
