Another encoded at what should be playable.

You rest your arms out to the side on the dip bars. From here you lean forwards and press up with your triceps like a regular dip. You use a much better range of motion and your upper back. Then you lower yourself down on to your arms again. Then repeat.

Your arms will take a hell of a beating from lowering your body down. It is deceptively 'soft' from the video but trust me when you do it you will bruise up your triceps. Just tough it out 🙂

Normal dips you don't rest your arms ACROSS the bar and start in that position. I see 3/4 of people barely break parallel when they go down to dip. It ismore like a twitch...and then they wonder why they don't get any bigger/ stronger...too little ROM.

Just training man. I had really poor upper body strength in general when I started 5yrs ago.

Be consistent over time and you can get as strong as you want

Download the latest version of quicktime. 😉

Those dips are wicked. I can imagine how hard it is to go from your arms being parallel to perpendicular and up instead of how most people just cheat with normal dips. Proper normal dips are hard enough.

Yeah a friend showed me them and I remembered them. So from now on they'll replace my normal dips. It'll be great when I can crank out 12reps x 4 sets of these 😎. I'm at 7reps x 4 sets. Few more sessions I'll up it to 8reps. Every 5-6 sessions I reckon I can add a nother rep in to the sets.

Yeah I know but the 1st one didn't work for Czar.

Not much to hear about in the video anyway 😛

You got to stretch beforehand!

I always stretch before training and warm up!

They take sometime getting use to but once you are they are great 🙂

I saw someone doing it in that form recently and I tried it myself. It definitely takes getting used to.

Curious, do you normally do dips with weights attached?

Sort of. I was previously doing 12reps x 4 sets with 60s rest inbetween sets. Makes them much harder due to the short recovery. Then I moved to 15reps x 4 sets with longer rests. Then I did a few sessions with 15kg for 7reps for 4 sets. I mix it up every 4 weeks or so or depending on what I fancy.

Yeah they take getting use to. But they are great imo but you got to have the flexibility for it. Most people barely do a dip and it is more like a twitch though, let alone break parallel. This is from as deep as you probably can go without dislocating your shoulders.
