Hell no. No way in hell am I taking the chance of buying a dress that is either too big or too small.

It's tough buying a girl clothes. Sizing is the kicker...if it's too small, you get "I look so fat in this." If it's too big, you get "How fat do you think I AM???"

The problem with buying a dress is that
1) it has to fit well and
2) it has to look good
Many guys do not know those criteria so that makes it tough. I personally would not buy a dress because if my gf didn't like it for some reason, she'd still wear it to make me happy and I wouldn't want her to have to do that

i would like that too. that way, there is no margin for error in trying to find something that HE would like. I would LOVE my guy to buy me a dress!
I know he wont cuz he hates shopping! i don't think it has anything to do with confidence thoguh

I'd rather play in on coming traffic than by clothing for the woman.

I did this 2 weeks ago, actually. I was taking my girlfriend to the NYC ballet, and she's currently working at a summer camp for the mentally and physically disabled and doesn't exactly have shopping time and nice clothes with her.

It was a fun experiance, actually, but thank god I knew her sizes off hand :)

When you say 'chance' you are implying there is a chance of success, when in reality, there is none. Women are picky about clothes, so you're doomed to failure.

Every woman I have ever dealt with has complained about being fat.

No. You'd just waste your money on a dress she hates.
