Guys would you buy a VW Beetle?

Never ever...the original beetle was a good car, the peoples car, it served it's purpose for it's time and age...there is just no reason for anyone (especially a guy) to get one now. Whenever I sit in one I feel like I'm in some deep sea submarine about to explore the titanic.

My old Super Beetle is only ~1900lbs before I get into it
If I pony up the $2k for Cram to build me a fresh 1.9 liter engine, it would be quite the peppy ride. Although then I'd probably want a 5 speed tranny too...

My wife is probably the most unjudgemental person I've ever met, but everytime she sees a guy driving a New Beetle, she says almost by habit "Boy, does he look ghey driving that."

I had a '72 semi-auto Super Bettle a few years back. My favorite car It was like driving a go-kart hehehe.
