i'm more of a truck person, so the fact it is a beetle really has nothing to do with it

What makes it gay?
Hello -- just look at it!

What makes it great?
I included this car in the Top 10 Gay Cars of 2003, stating that it's nothing short of a rolling gay joke. But in all seriousness, a joke is all the New Beetle Convertible is to us, as we haven't seen the New Beetle infestation that some cynics out there had predicted.

yea i guess its gone right past gay and straight to tacky

If the price was right and I needed a car. I guess I'm not a man since I'd do whatever I needed in any given situation.

It's not really a matter of what anyone else thinks. Just curious of opinions. A lady I talk to owns one. It seems to be a fun little car when we take it out. I've normally owned trucks or muscle cars in the past but I'm currently in need of a new vehicle. I have alot of researching to do before I buy a new one. I think the new VW's are costly for what they are.

sure.

I bet it'd be a dream to parallel park it into a tight spot that a sedan/suv couldn't fit into.

I'd rather drive a Smart - then I could at least pretend it was a Mercedes. :)

Nope, I wouldn't buy one. Not necessarily because I think it's "girly" either (although that argument could certainly be made) - I just don't like the way it looks at all.

Nope. But mostly because I just don't like how it looks.

And as far as man cards and man points go...I think if you're really so worried about it that driving a VW beetle would make a difference, you might not have all that many man points in the first place.

Buy? No.

Free? Yes but then I'd sell it and buy a Honda Civic or even VW Jetta/Golf
