Guys who cook for females!

Remedy

Diamond Member
Damn my handicap! I can't cook for sh!T! I wanna learn how to cook but i can't find no one to teach me. Trying to cook Ramen Noodles for a female should be a crime. Grrrrrrr....I envy you bastards with culinary art skillz!:|

How many of you fellas have actually cook for a female before? Or know of a good cook book i can buy😱

start with something simple like spaghetti and serve attractive greens (not iceberg lettuce!) with it 🙂

you have discovered our secret weakness -- men who cook! 😉

I love to cook!!!

My big thing is not to follow the recipie, but I normally vary a little. Follow them for a bit, find out some good combos that go well together (certain foods/spices) and vary the instructions a bit. Add your favourite seasoning, change an ingredient, stuff like that.

After a while, you'll have it all memorized and can make any meal from scratch. Its not too difficult, it just takes time and effort. I've made many a crappy meal when I started, but I only started with cooking for myself mainly... then, once I was good at it, I started to cook for womens and stuff...

I do about 70% of the cooking in my home. My wife is very busy with the newborn. Anyway, I learned how to cook when I was a kid while working at a restaurant. Anyway, it's really a lot about trial and error. Get yourself a decent cook book. My biggest problem is coming up with new dishes to make. I hate to keep making the same meals each week.

Fact is that I love to eat... So, I love to cook....

In fact, between my wife and I, I do the cooking... She asks me what is for dinner...

Good thing too, some of the things she comes up with, I just couldn't pallette.... She is Korean...

Not to insult Korean food, some of it is great, but some of it.... Kim Chee Soup.... I can handle Kim Chee...

its not that hard.

Ex: get some skinlless boneless chicken(who wants to debone and deskin?). Put some salt, garlic, some seasoning, and let it sit for a while. Take a pan, spray some nonfat nonstick oil in there and put the chicken in. Get some rice, boil water, stick the rice in there. Get some vegtable and put them in a pot with some butter, and you have yourself a meal 😀

Thats Male Cooking 101

I can't even make cereal without burning it. I'm gonna see if i can download a cook book in pdf format. I'll be moving out into my own apartment soon(god damn you boston and its high 1100$ studio apartments) and can't afford to be on a diet. Maybe those Lasagna trays made for 4 ppl will get me by.

Go to the local Library, book store or Amazon.com and get a beginners cookbook. Most of the recipes in them are very simple, require just a few ingredients and even fewer pots and pans. You'll be set! You may want to practice with your own stomach before you set yourself up to try to impress a girl.

I can cook, but if I don't have a recipe in front of me I'm up the creek. I like cooking though.

The worst mistake I've ever made was mixing up the amounts of curry powder with the chilli powder. I accidently added 3 teaspoons of curry powder and 3 TABLESPOONS OF CHILLI POWDER!!!😱 The look on her face when she ate it was priceless. I can assure you that it was no laughing matter at the time, but I'm laughing now thinking about it. Poor girl.

dam talking about cook i am sick of it cos i cook 10 ten hours everyday in restaurant
my advice to you is if you want to impress a girl . first of all learn how to handle a knife before learn too cook you know what i mean
😉

A 10 step plan for newbie male chefs:
Step 1. Buy a grill
Step 2. Buy a "Kiss the Cook" apron
Step 3. Buy some really expensive cooking utensils
Step 4. Slap some meat on the grill
Step 5. Grab a beer and wait
Step 6. Flip the meat
Step 7. Grab another beer
Step 8 Repeat 6 and 7 until you are finished.
Step 9 Put it on a bun
Step 10 Eat it

or you can buy Cooking for dummies...

seriously though, there are thousands of recipes on the web..try them, follow them step by step. Then you can tweak them. I used to not be able to cook, but now I can cook from scratch..lasagna, spaghetti, taco's, anything chicken, fish or beef related, and most soups or stews.

I know a girl who actually burned a salad once. She put the bowl too close to the stove and it melted then burned the salad.

BTW, this is representative of her overall cooking ability.

I'm gonna set up a Small Netappliance in my kitchen and load it up with recipes just so i can be 😎 and have access to it. Hmmm ideas....

I cook when there's no food on the table. I usually cook something that is simple like spaghetti or fried rice though.

I can't cook much, but I ALWAYS get compliments on my meat. No thats not perverted.

Seriously, start out grilling steaks, making omelets, twice baked potatos. Stuff that's easy and still tastes good. That might give you the ambition to try more difficult dishes.

I think a George Forman Grill will get the job done also. I seen the Big Ghetto ones going for like 300 dollars i think.

george forman grill is cool, i have one..but sometimes, it dries out the meat to much, guess im leaving it in there too long! 😱

anyways, just watch cooking shows on tv, you'll learn something from it.

I cook for my fiancee all the time.

I'm a chemist and I don't look at cooking as being much different. You just need to visualize what will happen with everything you do before you do it. Once you get the hang of it, cooking healthy, delicious, and exotic foods is easy.
