Wait a second... you're saying the guy didn't buy the car from Mark Mitsubishi after all? He backed out of the auction? What exactly is his reason for that?

yeah... i think its on the second to the last page in the original thread... he says he just wants to put it behind him... he did now know that he can get an Evo for $30k from other dealers... so i guess he just went that route... probably thought the original dealer was going to kidnap him once he went to go get the car...![]()
Notice the feeling of inadequacy and the need to feel powerful: "we are a force that has to be respected". You'd think the guy was talking about ending slavery or something. Nope, just an Ebay seller who backed out of a deal.We should not let this thread die.
Consider what the "Auto Enthusiast Community" has accomplished in the past 10 days.
On this thread the lovers all kinds of automobiles came togather for a common cause. Guys/Gals from all over the world brought a dealership to its knees.
Auto dealers and their Associations, Auto Manufacturers and their Associations all know that, WE ARE A FORCE that has to be respected....
That's a poor excuse considering the seller had no feedback as well at the time. The seller can cancel bids or the auction at any time. There's only one person at fault for forgetting to do so. The seller.Yes it was "bad" of the dealer to refuse the sale, although they should have just stated the reason was because the winning bidder had no completed transactions prior to this auction and no feedback. And yes they probably should have taken some heat for it.
I agree with you about the morons posting over there, but at the end of the day, this isn't about backing out of an sale that never was. When an Ebay auction ends, it is considered a BINDING CONTRACT! Fraud is not the correct legal term, but in backing out of the deal, the seller violated the contract he agreed to in letting the auction lapse to completion, and I see nothing wrong with him being compelled to honor the contract by legal means or otherwise. But JEZUS this got way out of hand. Most of the posts over on the NASIOC forums are from total idiots who apparently do not understand the difference between "fraud" and backing out of a sale before it is finalized or payment has changed hands.

The buyer seems like a complete idiot. Why would anyone incessantly say they are ashamed to be a "Mark" or encourage his brother to be ashamed of being a "Scott" because the dealer is Mark's Mitsubishi in Scottsdale. What kind of idiot talks like this? He even left that as negative feedback. The guy sounds like a 12 year-old.

A representative example of the mentality here is evidenced by a post from a notspock:Notice the feeling of inadequacy and the need to feel powerful: "we are a force that has to be respected". Good example of what can happen when thousands of limp dicks suffering from feelings of inadequacy get together.
