Read on the toilet?

Myself and a circle of friends realized that all the guys needed to read when spending "quality time" on the toilet. All the males (4 total) some how lose the ability to dump when there isn't appropriate literature. In desperate situations, all confessed to doing a mad scramble to find any thing, shampoo bottles, deodorant sprays, toilet cleaners, and in the worst case, a label on a handtowel.

The girls (7 total) seem to be able to handle #1 and #2 without literary assistance.

Hmmm.... the funny things people talk about after the 4 drinks each plus 3 pitchers of sangria.

Lets comment before the thread gets nuked or locked.

I can go #2 without any help from a magazine. My dad, however, always takes the morning newspaper with him. But I'd say the majority of guys don't read while sitting on the throne.
 
Yep, its a fact. We can't go unless we have something to read. I'll scrounge around the house until I have something. Makes it a more pleasurable experience. 😉
 
I usually take my favorite book with me🙂

Tonight I also learned that Thermalsilk Conditioner bottles contain 25% recycled plastic.

It's not necesary, but if yer gonna be sitting for a while, might as well pull up one of literature's classics (PCWorld is a personal favorite, even though the articles are biased and outdated). It's either that or fidget with things in the bathrooms (did ya know they make q-tips sticks out of plastic now, instead of that paper or wood they used to use?).

Reading is the last thing I wanna do on the throne. Why the heck would anyone want to stay in the crapper longer than necessary? Me, I just pinch the loaf (loaves) and get the hell out of there.
 
I have a stack of Car Craft/Hot Rod/Popular HotRodding mags in the head along with my PC Gamer's. I will also thumb through my UT and Half-Life user manuals if really bored. 🙂
 
yeah i MUST read something -- that's why i have so many magazines.

and if i can't get something to read (like when i'm at work) i bust out my Nokia phone and play some snake, rotation, or memory!

I used to read on da can but not since I installed the colour TV 🙂 Now if only I can get a computer hooked up 😉

I don't need to read in there, but if I am in the middle of reading something, I'll haul it in there with me if the moment arises.
 
Yes I'll pace arround the house in a panic (like when you can't find your keys) till I find something to read before I duck into the 'Loo'.

I remember nearly 10 years ago I use to live in a house, which had a outdoor corrugated iron dunny out the back. Things just didn't feel right till I wired up some electric lighting in there. It meant I didnt have to leave the door open to let the sunlight in, just so I could read the paper.
 
This is too funny, I was wondering the same thing this weekend. My dad takes the whole damn paper in there and when I was at my brother's house yesterday, I noticed he's got an actual magazine rack in there. My sister-in-law says he'll spend a half hour in there reading and doing his thing.

Cripes, get in, do your business and get out. 😉
 
lol Aquaman! That's what I have to do, hmmm a Tv in the bathroom but seriously I have to read while on the John as well cause I mean otherwise it gets boring now matter how long I'm in there. I think guys read on the John cause we are more intelligent :Q so just sitting there gets us bored. :Q

Windogg until I separated I lived in a house with three women (wifem 2 daughters) my ex finally figured out that was my time to myself and at least quit complaining.

Now I don't use reading material unless the girls are here for the weekend! 🙂
