Guy I know died today

Seems like he was driving his pregnant wife to the hospital to give birth, but they didn't make it. She started to give birth in the car, he tried to help her out. He hit a tree and died instantly. They were married less than a year, this is their first child. Wife and kid are fine, physically. Wasn't my best friend, but he was part of our little group, we used to hang out together. I have no idea what I will tell the wife when I see her. I'm sorry will not cut it. 🙁

Why didn't he call an ambulance if she was that close to actually giving birth when they left his house?

EDIT: 🙁 for your friend's wife and their new child.

I have no idea. It was their first (and last) experience.

holy sh*t, that's about as bad as something can be.

Where we live I could get to the hospital much quicker than if I called an ambulance, and I'd have done the same thing. I said as much this evening actually.

Tell her her got luckier than most people will ever be.He didn't live long enough to see his body decay and his family and children still existed as fantasies in his mind, still glowing and perfect.

what kind of sick response is that?

i can't imagine missing out on the chance to see my daughter grow up. everyday i'm more amazed. i feel bad for his wife and child that they won't get to share the rest of their lives with him.

He also wont see his child grow up and be an adult... Isnt that a joy of parenthood?
