Fox 8 News just had an interview with Obama. He said that he would be for building a possibly $80 billion levee system to protect New Orleans from a Cat 5 storm. That could sway a lot of voters.

He's has some money earmarked for that project. Apparently he was contacted by a prince in Nigeria...

I just can not believe how low republicans will go to try to win this election.
They're tactics give a whole new meaning to the word slime.

Notice:
How all the republican pundents (as well as Mccain) are getting on TV saying how they should put people first before conventions and politics.
That?s all well and done, but THEN (and notice this over and over) they ALWAYS add how "John is such a good guy, such a leader, such a deserving politician for president for his concern". They make sure they score some political points out of this disaster.

Talk about playing it up for all its worth.
Have these guys no shame?

People will probably die in this storm, while old John racks up some brownie points politically. What a scum bucket he is... Do you REALLY want this creep to be your next president? Come-on people. Wise and wake up!

Do you actually think the Democrats in the same position would not try to score what points they could, because they are all such warm, wonderful, loving people?

Its not like the Obama people won't do anything to get elected right? I mean starting a smear campain against a teenage girl is acceptable right? Framing bill clinton as a racist is sure acceptable right? Throwing your grandmother under the bus for political gain is acceptable right?

1) People used to not care about hurricanes. Has the media really got everyone that scared of everything these days?

2) Why can't republicans just accept that they are rich white elitist assholes and why can't democrats just accept that they are touchy feely wimps and feminazis?

3) Politics in this country sucks because it's essentially on the same mental level as a high school feud between the preppy kids and the bandies. No one cares about what policies are actually enacted any more as long as the other team loses.
