Gun

We in Russia are prohibited from buying and bear arms for self-defense. This is very bad. Because all the criminals are still walking around with weapons, and ban normal people protect their lives.

Do you own a gun? You wear it on the street? What is your weapon?

I'd ask you to move to the USA since you seem to favor personal liberty more than most "Americans", but you might be a spy attempting to infiltrate our great nation and destroy our beloved 2nd Amendment.

Is it also true that it is unlawful over there to lock your domicile's door? Now why would anyone want to lock their door and keep the world out? Do you have anything to hide? Why would you need a gun since everyone is a perfect angel? Are you anti-social?

🙄

(if you don't get the humor, I can't help you comrade)

It ain't much better here, pal. We have the right to bear arms...true. But if we actually use said arms to defend ourselves, the burden of proof that we didn't murder someone for the wrong reason is on us. In other words, the government basically says you can carry a weapon, but don't use it unless you have no other choice. "Leave the law to the lawmen." Having said that, if you mess with me or most of my neighbors, you might just get shot.

The government sets up protections to keep criminals from possessing firearms, yet it typically is just a $10 background check tax they throw on firearm purchases. Criminals buy guns on the street with the numbers filed off the barrels and can often get a gun easier than the average joe. Some cities, states don't allow handguns or guns (handguns or rifles) with higher capacity magazines. I own both because I'm in a state that allows pretty much everything. You can have automatic weapons in most states with a permit...90 day background check.

I own lots of guns. I have a permit that allows me to carry concealed. I don't usually carry though, mostly because I haven't found a comfortable way to carry.

Have you tried nature's pocket? (ie, your bum)

Yes, 24/7. Laws vary greatly from state to state. From Arizona where you don't even need a permit to carry concealed to California where a carry permit is almost impossible to get and you can only open carry an unloaded gun.

I see nothing wrong with this concept. I'm a gun owner, but wouldn't use one unless a life was in jeopardy and I absolutely had no other choice. I might also use a gun to prevent a property crime, but that would depend on the situation.

In the state I live in we have laws that are written so we are allowed to carry firearms, do not have an obligation to flee (stand your ground and castle doctrine), and are legally allowed to defend ourself, others, and our property with reasonable force.

It's about the best you can ask for. I carry every day.

Sounds like America. They make laws to keep law abiding citizens from exercising their constitutional rights. Because criminals just ignore laws.

I know! I wanted to put a shed in my backyard, but the county says I can't put it where I want as it's too close to the property next door!

Where are my constructional rights!

If I were single, or home alone, I'm about 95% sure I would stand my ground against a home intruder. Since I have a wife and kids I would much rather we all flee out of the house, if it was safe to do so, rather than confront the intruder and possibly have to fire my weapon with loved ones in the house.

That's my personal choice though. Any law that FORCES you to flee from a threat in your own home is wrong, IMHO.
