Now that I'm over a dozen ARs, my desire to buy any more is rapidly dwindling. Need other suggestions.
General suggestion: if you buy more stuff, buy high quality instead of quantity. In the end you can only shoot one thing at a time.

More specific diversifying ideas:
A high-end scope with a quick-detach mount you can use with any of your rifles. (I personally drool after the 1-6x Swarovski Z6i. Leupold and S&B have scopes in the 1-8x range that are apparently even better but cost almost twice as much. These are pretty much optimal all-around choices, good for distances of about 1-400m. Larger magnification isn't possible without losing usability at close range.)
A pistol caliber carbine (maybe an AR upper since you already have extra lowers) with a suppressor.

And I would suggest dragging yourself to a beginners' IPSC class. Learning from people with measurably good performance and becoming aware of your own measurable performance is the surest way to learn something.

Advice- Never buy anything gun related when its a hot topic politically. Youll get raped. Wait till it blows over as it always does and then buy for "normal prices".

Arsenal SAM7R is now on its way. :D

Thanks for the recommendation.

I recommend a Hogue 74000 grip.

The R in SAM7R means AK style side mounted scope rail. Get a scope mount and an aimpoint and have fun.

You'll be blown away by the quality of the milled Arsenals, they are works of art. Cycling it feels like the whole thing is made of butter.

Will be adding a SA58 FAL, Keltec RFB and KSG and PLR16, and maybe a PS90 as backorders fill.

The original plan was to slowly buy only the high-end stuff a piece at a time. I picked up my Colt the day of Newtown and everything changed. Now I just pick up what is available. Plus, while I don't think there will be any problems nationally, in California there is a Democratic supermajority that's trying to ban all semiautos. Given that, I've decided to stock up on enough ARs to last me my lifetime.

However, because optics are more readily available, I have gone from entry level Aimpoint/Eotech to high end Aimpoint/Eotech to ACOG/Elcan now.

What kind of handgun case is that? I am really interested in that.

It's a Guncruzer Quickdraw four pack. Looking at it so empty makes me sad. It's a constant reminder that I can only buy one handgun per month.

Here is what the five pack looks like:

The storage compartment is smaller than the four pack. The six pack does away with the storage area altogether.

Guncruzer is nearby and they have been EXCELLENT about modifying the cases to my needs. That Sig in the picture has a Crimson Trace grip which made it too bulkly to fit, so they measured my gun and redid the grip openings for me.

That is a nice looking case. Too pricey for me though. I'll stick with my foam filled SKB cases.

Man, are we going to have 2 official longrunning gun threads? That is too much for my old eyes and brain to follow.

What's funny is that SKB and Guncruzer are the same company!

I thought the handgun cases were reasonably priced and not much more than similar Pelican cases.

Here's a custom AR15 case they did for me. This one was expensive (about the cost of a cheap AR15).

And here is what it looks like empty. Notice the trap door storage area for magazines, grips and other accessories:

You've zeroed all of those rifles?

Sadly, I have yet to shoot a single bullet through any of my 223/556 ARs.

Though I did buy a year membership to a local range and have paid for gun classes, I still haven't found the time to go yet.

Yur about 2 months late but thanks for sharing.

My local store was completely cleaned out except for the 45 long colts.

And NONE of those new gun owners bought proper cleaning gear, or gun safes, or locks if they didnt have them.

OK I want that Guncruzer 12 rifle portable locker they have for $1000 but I need a universal for not just M16s. Anyone have any ideas? Id like something exactly like it that wound hold full length M1As and Remington 700 rifles too, not just 16" carbines. My Googlefu has been weak. M1A is 44" same as that cases exterior, and my 300 WM is like 54" IIRC, plus Ill be adding a Remington 700 308 and 223 eventually as well but I'm only using funds to buy semi autos and magazines in the near term.

It would be nice to just wheel out a single case , load it into a truck and go, then just open it up and leave them in like a stand at the range

Meh nows not the time to be buying and wasting ammo anyway. Focus on hardware as long as you have a minimum stash of defensive ammo.

I've met most everyone in their engineering and production department. I could ask them if they would make another custom case. They've been extremely accommodating so far.

Just take measurements of all your guns and how you would like it configured and I'll set you up with the right people there.

Custom insides or complete from scratch with one off molding too? Need more than just custom fitting. None of their current multi rifle chassis will accommodate full length rifles due to dimensions being capped at 44" outside length. Fine for M16s and AKs, but not Remington 700s, M1As, full length FALs, anything with 22"+ barrels.

What was the per case cost?

Take the classes. You'll learn more about protecting yourself than any gun ever will.

I had a good gun day today.

Got my Glock 17 and Arsenal SAM7 out of jail. On my way home, I stopped by another LGS and found that they had S&W M&P 9 in stock so I ordered that one for DROSing next month. Came home and found that my Adams Arms piston upper (only $680!) came in. Received notification that my S&W M&P 10 just shipped and four LPKs and 10 magazines from Stag Arms shipped.

Also, picked up three Mosins this week. Man they are long. They barely fit in the trunk. Probably my last as I like SKSs more. Speaking of which, I have a Yugo SKS. Are there any big differences between the SKSs from different countries?

I'm wanting one of those M&P 10's bad. I've been wanting an AR10 and with a street price of ~$1300 once things settle down and I may have to bite.

Recently added fiber optic sights to some of my handguns:

Also recently discovered the magic of PPT, which has allowed me to buy more than one handgun every month in California. This week, I've added a Sig 1911, HK USP, Beretta M9A1, and a FN Five-Seven.
