Guitar Hero III

🙁 Picked this up for $15 from gamestop since I am sick of the World Tour songs... But anyways, im on the last four songs of campaign and playing on hard. The notes make me want to cry, I just got to 98% on One by Iron Maiden = Pissed (Unlocked an achievement "Almost got it"). Blood Rain or whatever, and some metallica songs want to make me cry....

Playing hard....I don't want to have to redo every song in medium.

Any tips? >_<

Boss = Fail

I know thats what the face thing is for....i can beat the song I got 98% on....but the other two are fails....going to have one of my friends come over >😱 he can do through the fire and flames on expert four stars 🙁

Thats what I did.....but its like.....hammer on diagonal graph like this

For like 25 Seconds....=poop

heh, try those songs on expert, I never did beat Blood Rain on expert, beat every other song in the game though. Just too insane.

Makes my head want to explode.....

Metallica- One

Iron Maiden- Number of the Beast

Slayer- Raining Blood

Alright, got that out of the way. Raining Blood and One on GH3 are the hardest non extra content songs in any of the GH games outside possibly a couple on Metallica(need more practice with War Ensemble, Dyers Even and Battery before I split those hairs).

As far as tips, go into practice mode and slow it down, save your star power for tough spots so you don't lose to much in any one section and for the really tricky segments figure out what notes you can reasonably hit and ignore a bunch. IE- if you can always hit 3 notes if you skip the 4th, go that way instead of trying to get them all and missing a ton because you can't keep up.

Uhh is is just me or is Number of the beast harder than One? Lol. Because i can beat One but number of the beast is not happening.

Oh Em Gee 🙁

1st Try on One = 98%
2nd Try on One = 97%

Nice fail on my part. Next time I get around 94%, turning pause on, taking a 2 minute break, and owning the last part.

I am bad at number of the beast because I am garbage at strumming long kinda spaced notes.

The note charts in Guitar Hero III are notoriously horrible. It's how the game has any (artificially inflated) degree of difficulty.

Yes, Raining Blood and One are terrible in that game. I know that One is in GH: Metallica, and I thought Raining Blood was in a newer game...but I might be wrong on that one.

Funny, i never thought One was all that difficult.... I just saved star power for the insane part of the solo and it got me through and the rest of the song is not all that hard, so if you do good on the rest of it you can get 5 stars even with a wasted "save your ass" star power activation in the solo.

I can't really remember number of the beast now, it's been a while since i've played it... but Raining Blood was definitely killer. Took me forever to beat that on expert and I never did 5 star it. That was the only non-bonus song I didn't 5 star.

Woot, i drank 2 energy drinks at like 3, just played these songs while coming down from an energy buzz, passed both One and Number Of The Beast, I was in the zone 🙂. (First try of the day for both)

One I took a pause as I said I was going to, hit resume and there was legitly like 4 notes left lol.

I still can't beat One on Expert. I can't even beat Cult of Personality on Expert ... I think my TV is slightly miscalibrated. I'm sure if I kept with it, I could eventually do it.

Why don't you use the practice mode to slow it down until you nail it, then work your way up to full speed? That's why it's there.

Yes it is indeed a lot easier, there are still very challenging songs on Expert but nowhere near the level of GHIII hardest songs.
