Wow, then boy am I happy I bought my copy yesterday!!

I'm looking forward to giving the Engineer a shot, as I usually default to a Ranger. See you guys in game!

Oh--and just updated with a 30mb patch. Be sure to run the client a few times up until launch time so you're good to go.
 
WHat time does beta open up? And I'm game for whatever server. Will have to try some of the classes to see what I like best.

Vasberg it is then. Also when we get in game gotta check how the friends system works. We should post/PM our info so we can all chat/hang out/get a guild together.

I already know mine: Zinfamous Headcase
will have to see how naming convention works--if i can do space like in gw1, or need funny marks to make that happen.
 
I thought it just uses your account name? Or you can pick an actual character name but it uses it across all characters?
 
Came to see if we had an official AT server. Sounds like Vasburg has it, at least for the beta. Before launch we should really put up a poll with all options and let it run a month, see how the numbers breakdown.

I'm going to try and snatch Aptitude but if that fails Zokudu (No one ever steals it 😀).

Spaces are allowed in names zin.

the account name is for Identifying you in forums...and as I understand it, a secondary identification in game--maybe next to your name in a "who's on" menu, or something. I don't quite understand that.

It will add those numbers only if someone else logs in that uses the same account name (distinguished by the numbers).

You will be able to individually name your characters.

Oh, and I suppose I'm rolling a human first, and then will likely roll a Charr engineer/thief/or nec at some point this weekend.

I'm always pretty fortunate that no one ever uses zinfamous. I have who knows how many random accounts across the internet--several that are probably dormant, that use that name.

I'm only rolling Human or Norn - my main characters will all be Asura. I really wish they were available, but maybe I'll avoid that race during the beta weekends to keep it fresh at launch.

Are you serious? What about digital versions? And how can pre-orders be sold out? That's an oxymoron.

And what's up with the ridiculous pricing? $60 and $80? Should be $40 and $60 as it always was. Oh, and making people pre-order to get into beta is lame as hell.

Not pre-orders, but pre-purchases. and yes, they are the digital versions.

Each pre-purchase comes with guaranteed Beta access to all events leading up to release, so that's what he means by running out of beta access space.

I think beta only has human, norn, and charr available. From some of the reviews I have read, the Norn area and story might be a bit underdeveloped, and quite boring. I do want to roll a norn at some point, though.

PSA: 40mb build update now available. They really are patching this thing constantly, heh.
 
Think I'm going to go human ele first (what I really want to play) and then a Charr ranger (what I probably won't be playing).

Yah, that's why I said I'd roll Human or Norn 😛 Asura will only be at launch. Given your details though, I'll probably stick with Human through the beta testing.
 
Going to start with a human thief since the Sylvari won't be in this first beta weekend. I wonder what kind of cluster &$#% the log-in situation will be at 3pm E.
