I was just on Fileshack and they claimed that Guild Wars has sold over 1 million copies. Wow, i'm impressed. I didn't really like the game, but i'm still impressed.

I thought the main point of Guild Wars was PvP and I can't comprehend running out of content there. It's like running out of content on an FPS.
Never understood this argument. I don't think it's unreasonable to picture a dedicated gamer who doesn't play MMOs picking up a new game every 1-2 months. If a different gamer gets his rocks off playing WoW, etc for the most part, he comes out ahead in money spent (assuming he doesn't buy a lot of standalone titles too).On the other hand, I've played Everquest and WoW to a small extent; I'm sure there is something that appeals to people in those games, but I don't think either is worth spending $100s per year to play, or even are as good as many games that don't require a monthly fee.

I really enjoyed GW's combat system. However, the game itself left much to be desired. I am not sure if it was the 12 year olds running around with a naked toon dancing, or if it was the lack of respect the majority of the userbase had. Not to mention all the spam and the lack of a real MMO feel.
