I have a copy of factions and I feel it was a gigantic waste of time and money
Factions alone probably is a waste of money. I actually enjoy the instancing b/c it allows me to head off on my own when I want (I feel that it shouldn't be necessary to have to run into people everywhere you go). I feel that the quick level cap (It's harder to get to in prophecies if you have no one else to run you around and level you up) levels the playing field really well. It puts the focus on strategy and your character builds.
The biggest incentive for me is when comparing price and content with WoW. For $100 a year (assuming you buy both GW modules released every year), you get about 3 times the content (new classes on each and an entire new world), for about $80 less.
In the end, your ability to enjoy these types of games depends on the type of people you meet while playing them. I barely played for the first month or two that I had it. It wasn't until I met a good group of people that I really started enjoying it.
ROFL! GW has more content that WoW? are you freaking crazy... Ive played GW and factions since the first day.. its not even 1/10 the size and scope and content of WoW..
WoW literally takes years to see and do eveything for a normal player..
hell Ive been playing since Alpha and havent seen everything yet..
WoW releases content faster than people can crunch it..
only the uber guilds can tear through content as fast as they can make it..
WoWs free addons so far have added 900% more than GW has in an entire expansion product..
no thanks.. when WoW releases BC its gonna add another 1000X what GW has to offer..
ps.. WoW is a real MMO vs a diablo style game with some online function.. not really even close to a fair comparison..
