Glad this wasn't the story.

Mr. Scott was was shot and killed by an unknown intruder after he shouted freeze and reviled his location. May he rest in Peace.

The bigger question is, what kind of robber robs your fscking bathroom. That would have been my first big clue.

They could be looking for prescription drugs.

I am responding to this comment, which deals with criminal behaviour involving misuse of prescription drugs, by linking to a user profile chosen completely* at random. 😀

The guy should have a freaking flashlight. Not only would he have been able to identify the intruder, but it gives you a tactical advantage by blinding them and making it easier to aim.

While his buddy gets an easy shot at some jackass holding a flashlight 🙂

You mean it gives your position away?

I don't know what kind of neighborhood you two live in but in mine, we are generally not robbed by Ex-Navy Seals.

Duct-taped mod FTW!

Did you guys also notice that this guy got hit by a truck at an earlier point in time? I'd bet a thousand bucks that this guy didn't get rundown by some mobster or something trying to kill a cop but instead was just a typical moron that got hit by a truck while crossing the street. Everything about this guy just screams reckless idiot.

If the girl had died (i.e. he aimed just slightly higher and hit her in the chest or stomach) I wonder how many people would still be saying "sad, but he was in the right."

you have to be an ex-navy seal to see a person holding a flashlight in the dark?

I hope you stop posting and figure out how to be a man. Failing that, I hope you enjoy prison.
Boyfriend was extremely upset & angry until he figured out she could still go down and use, er kneel on her good knee.

"Scott spotted someone moving in the basement bathroom... The bullet traveled up her leg and lodged in her thigh area.

It'd be a fair guess how her leg was positioned for the bullet to travel as it did.

The guy is a cop. Cops tend to have guns. Funny how cops tend to have guns when they are at home. Gun control agenda FTL.

Yeah..HEY GUYS SHOOT ME!

Dude, if you seriously feel you have an intruder in your home it is in your worst defense to call out to them. They have already become acclimated to the light levels and probably know exactly where the homeowner can enter from.

Also if there is more than one person you really killed your odds of defense.
