And you're on ATOT.

What should he be doing? Building a crib for the baby?

They "just got back" from the doctor who confirmed it, and he says he's celebrating. I think I'd be telling family and/or going to see them rather than be on ATOT.

I just thought it was funny that he was celebrating yet he was on ATOT.

Just so you know, you usually do not tell family/friends till after a few months have passed. A fair number of pregnancies do not make it past the first few months. Usually month three is the best time to tell family. No need to get their hopes up and then have to go back and tell them the bad news.

I found out last month myself. She's 9.5 weeks now. We saw the little dude's heart beating two weeks ago via ultrasound. Pretty cool stuff.

This exactly. We want to make sure she doesn't miscarry, and that's big concern.

If the people I see at malls are any indication: Becoming a parent does NOT mean you have to grow up.

Congrats. We have our first ultrasound in three weeks. I have no idea what to expect, but I'm excited as hell.

lol don't do it!

Hey, he wants his kid to be badass, doesn't he? :p

Isamu (?) means courageous or warrior. He's going to be a badass (if it's a boy).

Only if you name him Isamu Dyson ;)

Were you... surprised?

:p

The real question is it his?

Considering we were trying...no. However, genetics favor the dark hair and dark eyes over my blonde and blue, so I can't tell that way. ;)

So my fiancee just informed me that we're going to be having a baby. We decided to start trying last month, but had no idea that it would happen this fast. She just got back from the doctor, who confirmed the pregnancy. Needless to say, we're celebrating tonight (me with champagne, her with orange juice and sprite).

If it's a girl: Aimi (??) or Amy, Americanized.
If it's a boy (which I hope it is): Isamu (?) or Sam, Americanized.

15 years from now you're going to have to explain to your internet-searching daughter why you wanted her to be a boy. :D

Congrats!

Hm, that is fast. Suspiciously fast.

You sure she isn't pulling a fast one on ya? Got pregnant by some other dude, learned about it, came to you suddenly and said "Let's try to have a baby", then comes back a few weeks later saying "What a miracle! I'm pregnant!" to cover up her affair?

I'm just saying.

I brought it up for discussion. Thanks for the concern, but I'm not worried.
