Grabbed an EVGA from Newegg about a half hour ago. Definitely looking forward to ditching my 6870 Xfire setup.

Does ship in 1-2 days mean it's in stock at tigerdirect? I want to pick one up but I don't want to order it and have them change it to like a week or something.

Yes, tiger always says 1-2 days and they ususally have it shipped same day. Their hub is in Illinois so you will probably get it real fast.

Ugh...newegg out of stock. Are there any tools to use to check stock or do you just hit f5 constantly at all the sites?

Thanks, ordered 2 EVGAs. I should really wait for 4GB version for surround vision, but sucker for new videocards. Sucks have to buy extended warranty to get step-up.

Your GTX480 didn't last very long with me 😛

SUPER-TEMPTED to return my rad 7950 for a gtx 680 right now! is it worth it? i only have 1 day left before the 30 day exchange thing on tiger runs out :|

Hit the auto notify and then start refreshing your email 😀

With a hugely popular item, like these or anything else, if you depend upon the auto notify email, you'll miss the item. By the time the email hits, the card will be OOS again. Best bet is just F5 the Newegg page of the cards themselves.

NVidia had 100 cards available and are now all gone 😛

I really do wonder if nvidia will be able to suppy enough cards for the next month or 2 until demand drops down.

You peoples 7950/7970 cards are perfectly fine. They can do everything the 6xx can do just as well. Unless some numbers means That much to you.

If you subscribe to newegg newsletter you get free shipping on GTX 680s right now to.

Wow, I did get the email. I am going to call for a credit.

EDIT: They credited my account for shipping costs! 😀

I see no reason to sidegrade my 7950 for a 680. Yes the 680 is faster in many games (My card is OC'ed quite a bit, so is faster than stock, which narrows the gap). But there is no reason to since I game at 1080P. The small difference is not worth it.

But I gotta hand it to nVidia, they finally built a card that uses less power and is faster than AMD. Its been a very long time since that happened. Faster sure, but never while using less power.
