gtx590 at Tiger Direct for $729

Waiting on some reviews to really start commenting on price but if it outperforms or matches the HD 6990, it's a winner.

I love their marketing slant.

If you overclock this card enough, then it will be the fastest card in the world! Warning: Please do not overclock without extreme cooling.

If this thing will OC close to GTX 580 speeds then this is a nice deal.

Alot of the reviewers have fried their cards, due to driver issues and slight overclocking on them.
Only reason, Im writeing a responce is just so you dont assume you ll get the 590 running like stock 580 speeds, because you most likely wont, and would end up killing your card if you tried.

Youtube video of a 590 pulling abit to much power (720$ down the drain):

If you keep it around stock your probably safe with them though.
looks like (from just looking at Anandtechs review);

performance 6990 > 590
coolest running 6990 > 590
lowest noise 590 > 6990 (590 oc vs 6990 oc, is 63 dB vs 65 dB when playing crysis)
lowest power use 6990 > 590
best OCer 6990 > 590
price 6990 > 590

You should catch up on the news, several vendors do honor warranty for using the OC switch on the 6990. Though I know you already knew that...

The only one I've read about was XFX, and I even tried searching for more vendors yesterday that did but came up with nothing. Care to share links?

$849 here in Canada from TigerDirect.ca.

Are you kidding me? $120 premium and not including delivery?

Is this basically 2 580 GPUs on single board?

I guess one would say that's not a bad price (compare to $1000+ for 2x 580s)

Personally I wouldn't even spend $300 on a GPU......not the way Graphics have progressed past 3-4 years.
