yep. and what kind of garbage search does that site have? nothing proper comes up when looking for gtx 980 or gtx 970.

well, sorry to have troubled you with a little suspense. I bought it used from a member on [H] that ran into a little financial trouble. The card is/was 3 days old from Newegg. It's a Zotac and comes with the receipt and full retail package.

EDIT: Ok read the above posts. It's ok though cause in Canada we like paying more for the same stuff so i'm happy with my 440CAD, including tax and shipping, GTX 970...

I am the one that said it so I am the one that knows how I intended it. it was not hostile at all and I was not even replying directly to him. that's even why I jokingly said we will have to wait for the rest of the story. I dont have any beef with lava so please dont try to read my mind. he already replied to me and I already told him I was not meaning to be hostile so that should have been the end of it.

Amazing case! That's the one i'm looking to buy! How do you like it?
I had that case earlier this year with my previous x79 setup. I loved it - easy access to mobo, including a removable mobo tray!, also makes cabling a bit easier to manage. That said, not much space between the psu and front hot swap bays, but nothing you can't manage. I actually removed the swap bays from the inside in order to fit a longer psu.
I also wish they made with 3 front intake fans instead of two, or possibly 1 or 2 intake fans on the left side panel, in order to improve airflow in multi-GPU setups.
But even with all those complaints, I still think its a great case. You can pack a lot in there and it's easy to store and move.

I really enjoy it. I wanted something that could house my H110 in push/pull and still have room to work in. As you can see, I haven't put much effort into cable management yet, but I know I can make it look a lot cleaner inside. ^_^
From what I can gather though at least for 970s is that PCB is non reference so if you are doing water cooling, your options become limited
What would be the best benchmark to estimate the performance of the upcoming Dragon Age Inquistion? I read that its built on the BF4 engine? Would I be stupid to suggest a card for an upgrade for someone with DAI in mind by looking at which cards do well in BF4?
(970 is probably the best perf/price right now no matter the game but I'm just curious)

well if its running the Frostbite engine then yes BF4 would be prob the closest thing to compare it to as its the same engine
Louder at load or at idle?

I've roamed the EVGA forums for some time and now some minimal number of 970 SSC ACX 2.0 owners complain about the noise and whine while the others state they are pretty stocked about their new cards. Who to trust? Forums will always be forums and that's why I like AT, most of the time we get serious and constructive opinions.
Anyways i'm not that scared and i'm pretty tolerent when it comes to hardware. My current 7950 have some coil whine when FPS goes over 60 so it's nothing that I can't live with.
Plus the new BIOS from EVGA will reduce the noise significantly.
Looking at hardware forums is like looking for an answer about symptomes we have: you'll always think you got something seriously wrong going on lol

There is a likelihood custom BIOS on 970/980 & upcoming Maxwell cards may not be possible. :|

Custom BIOS is usually available right from the get go, but there is still no nvflash available that is able to write to the BIOS on the new gm204 cards.
