Post 'em if you got 'em! This thread is to share owner experiences with the new 970 and 980 cards. Overlocking, benchmarking, cooling, etc.

It's going to be hard getting through the day at work.

I'm a little confused as well since he has 4 titans, each with 6gb of ram. The 980's use less power though and might be a little faster.

I could have built an entire second gaming PC with all the hardware I've upgraded from in the past few weeks.

Well, looks like your Titans paid for your 980s.

I did order an SC 970 today.

EVGA GTX980 on the way here. Will come tomorrow(if lucky) or monday.

Will try and take some pics for the SG08B case install.

Pretty shocked at the 970 price. I might pick one up this weekend... but really I don't play anything my single 670 doesn't handle for me, even at 1440p.

I sold my 5870 during the height of the coin mining craze and got a 770GTX open box card. It's been pushing my Netflix real hard.

I pretty much only play D3, CS:GO and sometimes BL2 right now. I did buy The Witcher 2 recently, but I think the 670 will be enough for that still, even if I have to drop some settings.

AHAHAHAHA...
that HD option really pushes your Video card hard huh?

When I went to buy the EVGA's 980's were all sold out.
I will hopefully pick up a pair next week when they are back in stock.

Yeah, just see the Gigabyte one in-stock from the major retailers.

AdmaK47, what is the total wattage saved by going to the GTX980s?

I think the Titan is @235W vs the GTX980 at 165 to 175W so at least 60 W per card or @240W!

I'll be interested in your performance observations.

Bought 2x 970 (Gigabyte) this morning. Should come on Tuesday from 'egg.

Should be a decent upgrade over my 670s (2GB). Hopefully can sell the 670s for a discount to someone.

It could be around 300W less from the whole system based on some of the power consumption graphs I've seen in reviews. That is, if I had everything running full blast.

Yeah Adam, run some Synthetic and game benchmarks running TITAN'S vs. 980's and post them here.

I'm on the fence. I'm currently running a GTX 690 at 1240 core and I kind of want to grab a single 980 to hold me over until the big chip comes out........don't know if that's a good trade off of not. A couple of 970s would be nice too........

Insane, dude! I want to see some Firestrike extreme runs with those cards. I looked over the reviews and the only 980 I could find that benched faster than my 1300 core 780tis was one that clocked close to 1600, so it's unfortunately not an upgrade for me. I can't believe these cards scaled well up to higher resolutions. I expected the 10% over the 780ti, but not for it to be there at all resolutions, very impressive.

I did get an MSI Gaming 970 to replace my wife's 7950. The 970 is just ridiculously good for the money. Looking forward to seeing the clocks I can get out of it.
