It will still have some drops below 60fps @ 1080P but 50 to 90fps should be realistic maxed setting @ 1080P

yeah i know but 50 FPS on huge map with smoke and effects it's great :D cause i got sometimes 17-21 fps drops on heavyy battles with my gtx 480 :DD
and there is a chance that new drivers improve performance even more in bF3 ?

anyway .... 50 min FPS sounds pretty good .... i thin u can't notice difference 50 vs 60 fps when it drops only a second

Well there is a notable difference between 50fps and 60fps but I think many people would not notice or care. GTX 480 gets much better than 17fps min in BF3 so it seems you probably must have a CPU bottle in your rig. What CPU are you running and @ what clocks ?

17-21 fps happens in 0.0001% ... cause usaaly igot 28-30 fps drops .... 17-21 is very very very rarely :) maybe even 3-4 time in game in one month :D

don't think i have any bottleneck with my i7 3770 at stock clock 3.4 and turbo 3.9 .....

RAM is Corsair 8GB 1600 mhz .... so :)

With your CPU I would look into getting another GTX 480 in SLI for some bombastic performance for half the cost of a 670.

ya but i forget to tell you mainboard :D asrock z77 pro 3 ... no sli :) i heared that many people had driver problems with many games with sli setups .... that was the reason why i bought non sli mainboard ^^ but it's another story :D

can you record small video with BF3 some large map on ultra ? with your 670 .. when you have a time sure ;) only few minutes ... orrrr ..... maybe you have some old fraps report ? :D

SLI and CF has been all ironed out for a long time man they work and scale very well. Well if you don't have an SLI mobo then you might as well stick to one card unless you where already looking at considering an SLI enabled MOBO investment which I would recommend then do so and get another GTX 480 and it will end up costing the same or less than a 670.

yes i know :) 480 is the best price/performance atm ^^ and 480 sli beats 680 for sure :) but it will use too much power 2 :DDD

well ... yeah :DDD

first time i decided to wait for 700 series .. but that will be same generation .. so don't think that it will be a lot big difference .. i expect same story like gtx 480 to gtx 580 .... so form 670 i will upgrade to maxwell :D 800 series D:

"i expect same story like gtx 480 to gtx 580" That will be exactly the case nvidia knows what they are doing and it is not by a mistake that the whole 4xx series was almost functionally identical to the 5xx series and then there are the ones whom will claim that it was such a monumental leap when it wasn't it was a cash cow for nvidia LOL. 6xx series to 7xx series will be the same old story. If you are set on the 670 make sure you get the one with the full size PCB like the 680 so at leased that way you are not getting a crippled card with short ass PCB and less OCing potential.

dude if there will be really same story like 400 and 500 series .. then well :D i think waiting for 10-15% performance is brainless :D you know 480 is like 10-15% slower then 580 ... not much for sure ....

so i think waiting for 800 series is good idea and get now gtx 670 :D cause even if my cpu will be a bit weak for gtx 870 ..... maxwell will have armed cpu inside gpus .. witch will help my cpu in pefromance D:

and one more thing .....

gtx 670 is too expensive in my countrey ... so i have to buy from usa and ship to europe ... how big is chance that card will be DAO ??? cause sending it back will cost for me like 60$ ;/ ....

Like I say get another 480 but remember you can still unlock the pretty hefty OCing potential in the GTX 480 to the same performance or even more than a stock GTX 580. I would try and just get something local within Europe cause $60 shipping is allot of money.

A 670 can give you about the same performance as SLI'd 480's while using ~1/3rd the power. In games that SLI doesn't scale it'll be far faster and you won't have to deal with driver oddities that occur in multi GPU setups. Or buy a new mobo.

like i said i need new mobo for sli ... cause i don't have it ;/
Well it's up to you check what is available local to you and remember you don't absolutely need an nvidia card Radeon HD has absolutely just as great cards as well and they are a bit cheaper to boot.

As stated in an earlier post about GPU and power consumption "LOL but who cares the GPU is meant to play games not conserve electricity."

Well some game favor nvidia and some favor Radeon. Please don't judge a card based solely on how it's performance in one game.

I have a 7970 and it is over locked. At 1080p 4x msaa max I rarely dip below 60-80fps and at 1440p no msaa I average 70-90 fps

Why would you move from a 7970 to a 670? Your 7970 is a great card.
I don't own a amd card but from what a read their drivers have improved
drastically over the past years. Something is screwed up with your system if you can't get
good performance out of that card.

I have a 2600k (at 4.6ghz) with a 670ftw and I game at 1920 with everything maxed and my 670 gets about 60fps on average.

because 7970 is terrible for non overclocker users like me ...

60 fps average is great then .... if u never got below 50 in bf3 .... well .. that is ideal :) for me ...
