Really depends on the price/performance. But I think Asus/EVGA get the nod, given they are the only ones trusted enough by nVidia to offer the 690.

From Anandtech GTX690 review: "The one bit of good news is that while cards will be rare, you won’t need to hunt across many vendors. As with the GTX 590 launch NVIDIA is only using a small number of partners to distribute cards here. For North America this will be EVGA and Asus, and that’s it." I ended up picking up the MSI GTX 670 that hit slickdeals last night. It honestly is not my first choice if i could choose any, but with how hard it is to get a 680 atm i did not want to run into that. It should be here friday or sat and doing a reinstall with my new 256G M4 Crucial SSD.

Will buy one within 2 weeks for my GF. She deserves one for GW2 🙂

Zotac or Inno3D. (You dont seem to ahve Inno3D in the US.)

Nope. Waiting for a true 30-40% performance upgrade for my gtx 480 for $250.

Tired of draining the bank account for minimal upgrades.

It was the first one that was out for sale, Tiger Direct had it last night briefly. Price was $409, with $10 credit from paying with Visa i paid $411 total with 2nd day shipping.

I would have rather had a EVGA, Asus, or Gigabyte but i did not want to hunt forever for one and this is a nice upgrade from my 5850.

Good grief. They are annihilating AMD's high profit margins. Good on them. Lots here said Nvidia would never start a price war.
it only looks like Nvidia is giving us a good deal because the AMD 7 series were so overpriced. Nvidia is still only giving just a small performance increase over previous gen while charging same price or in the case of the gtx670 even more.

I agree. But all you can go by is what's available. Unless a 3rd Co comes in prices are what they are. Currently between the two Nvidia is offering much better value.

As for me, like I said earlier, until they give me 30-40% more perf from a gtx 480 for $250 I'm not buying.

Not getting one but based on these points below, there will be plenty of options.

1) larger heatsinks than reference + quieter dual fans
2) 6+8 pin power connectors on GTX680 PCB
3) Beefed up VRMs/power phases.

Asus Direct CUII TOP - the TOP model is factory-overclocked. More to that, board is designed with Digi+ VRM to improve overclocking potential. Factory pre-overclocked to 1137mhz. That's already faster than a stock 7970.

Gigabyte WindForce3X

Those 3 look nice!

EVGA for 2ea, if they offer a base model for step-up. Otherwise, I'm 782 and 781 in cue for 680's 😛

I am still wondering why nVidia would release a GTX670 that is (for all intents and purposes) identical to a GTX680, but for $100 less. Possibly even better as there are more non-reference designs from the look of it.

Looks like EVGA is shipping the short PCB version. Seriously, they put no effort into that!

I wish Inno3D sold cards here. Their GTX670 looks monstrous.

1137mhz @ 62*C at 38% fan speed. Woof!
