When are these things going to hit the market? I thought it was going to be today.

7870 vs 660ti power consumption results are interesting. I wonder if AMD will give the 7870 a new Bios with some crazy voltage.

Hmm... Looks like a very good upgrade over my GTX 460. No need for me to upgrade during the summer, not on the computer much. But I may see where prices fall come early winter.

HardOCP claims that the GALAXY 3GB is just about as fast as the 670. Interesting.

I was going to buy the 680, but the 670 is just as good for $100 less. So now I'm looking the 660. I'm thinking 660s in SLI may be awesome. Going to wait for some more reviews.

That or I just buy the 690 and DGAF.

EVGA is listing a bunch of varied models. Mix and matches of 2gb/3gb cards with different PCB's.
The most expensive seems to be the gtx660ti 3gb FTW+/ with backplate using gtx 680 pcb for 349.00 free delivery etc.
I like what I'm seeing, but not buying at launch prices, but may try to sell my current cards on craigslist :)

That's kind of where I am as well, except this card will be replacing a GTX 460 768MB in my HTPC, which I don't often use for gaming. It might take a year or more, but I'll probably get one of these when they're around $200, or eVGA gets a cooler on their card similar to Gigabyte's current card and I can apply eVGA bucks towards the purchase. eVGA might tempt me over if they get in with the Borderlands 2 promo though.

Yeah the Borderlands 2 deal seems like it's worth it, but I'll still hold off for now... I am actually going to move my GTX 460 into my HTPC, which is currently sporting a classic 8800GT. About time to retire that card, it has been good to me for so long.

Looks like a solid card. Would be a strong buy ~ $250.00. Maybe see some AR prices close to this soon.

Decent card but only if it is cheaper than the 7950. At the same price (which the 7950 has got down to several times), I would rather get the 7950.

Kudos to nVidia to making efficient cards. Thumbs down for neutering overclocking though.

Better than I was expecting. Though the 7950 is the clear better buy for anyone in the ~300 market for a card.

From anand's review I expected the non reference 660ti cards should have been benched against the non reference Gigabyte, Msi, and Xfx 7950's,.. not the default clocked non reference. Those cards are all available and perform better than the 7950B. I thought the inclusion of the defualt reference 7950 w/o note of same/similar priced non reference 7950 parts was disingenious given the market conditions for these card.

Biggest concern for me with the GTX 660Ti card is:

http://www.anandtech.com/show/6159/the-geforce-gtx-660-ti-review/2
The best case scenario is always going to be that the entire 192bit bus is in use by interleaving a memory operation across all 3 controllers, giving the card 144GB/sec of memory bandwidth (192bit * 6GHz / 8). But that can only be done at up to 1.5GB of memory; the final 512MB of memory is attached to a single memory controller. This invokes the worst case scenario, where only 1 64-bit memory controller is in use and thereby reducing memory bandwidth to a much more modest 48GB/sec.

That can't bode well for a card intended to carry it's buyer through for 1-2 years of gaming. Looks like the card carries 2GB's of memory, but will only "perform" with 1.5GB's.

This trick has been used by review sites (not just this one) for a long time it's nothing new. Disingenuous yes I agree.

As for the card, decent but not great IMO, and I feel it is not a very "future proof" card but time will tell. It will sell very well though.

This is a fair and reasonable assessment. It's better than the hd7870, not as good as the hd7950, and for the most part is priced that way. If Borderlands 2 comes with it (from what a few in this thread have alluded to) and if someone is looking to upgrade to a card in this segment, then it's a good deal whether you keep your copy of BL2 or sell it for $30-40.

After all the speculation, I think the 660ti is a good deal, but not a great deal that a lot of people were hoping for.

The feel of the forums around here before the review was that of a must buy at $249; will wait for a price drop now that they really are going to be $299+.

Good / great performance, underwhelming value in the current market structure.
