GTS 450, new Nvidia mid range

If the GTS 450 is slower and more expensive than the 5770 then it makes my upgrade very easy. I will upgrade my 4770 to a 5770 instead of GTS 450.

I saw a Palit GTS 450 today at Fry's for $139. I was shopping for an EVGA sub $200 GTX 460 (and failed) and this was right next to it on the shelf. Does not show up on the Fry's website, or even Palit's website. No hits on Microcenter/newegg/amazon either.

The only web info I could find while I was in the store was the fudzilla and semiaccurate site links and those didn't look so hot.

If it had been an EVGA I probably just would have bought it to see how it did. I don't know anything about Palit except Microcenter has a Palit GTX-460 768mb for $169 right now. 1 year warranty = fail.

FYI the box was TINY compared to the 460 boxes.

$99 bucks maybe I would have bought it even though I prefer better warranties and brands I have actually heard of.

I guess my 8800GTS will keep limping along...
