GTA Vice City = OMG WIN

OK, I lied. Some games I played on my 486 as a child just have a certain magic that make them better than GTA Vice City. Let's just say GTA VC is the best modern game EVVVVVAAARRR!

I need to check HD for some deals on this...should be able to snag it for $39.99 somewhere during opening week...

Is it better then the one for PS2?

Also, does GTA VC run any better/worse or the same as regular GTA3 for PC?
 
It's supposed to look better than the PS2 version. Also supposedly it is more free ranging, more places to look and see in the pc version.

Comes out on May 14th.

better than PS2 because your system could be better. Plus you can mod it, add extra cars, etc.
 
I'm looking forward to picking this up. If I wasn't lazy I would swing by Best Buy on my way home just in case they put it out early.

Higher res, AA, runs smoother, you can play your own MP3 files rather than the 80's music. Still the textures look like crap because they were ported over from the PS2.

 
Awesome but not the best ever 🙂

I liked GTA3 better.. the music wasn't as annoying, and the talk shows were funnier. I kinda liked the fact that you were basically a faceless goon, as well. The whole "lets make a storyline!" thing is dumb. 😛

MUCH MUCH better than gta3

gta3 was crap, laggy, ugly, etc

this is smooth as all hell, nice looking, great gfx =)
an 8500 or higher should have no problem at all rendering it 🙂
 
Far from the best game ever. Just in the past year or so...let me see. max payne, splinter cell, wolfenstein, medal of honor. And what about a few days from now and Enter the Matrix. GTA3 and GTA3: VC are fun when you are lookin for something to fill a little bit of downtime. But it is hardly the best game ever. It isnt even the best game in recent memory.

I still think gta3 suffers from not having multiplayer mode. That was what made gta2 so great. Nothing like running over your friends with a tank. I think if they added multiplayer to gta3's 3d environment, it'll make gta3 one of the best games ever. You would think that they would try to make some kind of add on to enable multiplayer, instead of milking for more gta3 versions.
