Piracy is the scapegoat answer. Rockstar is a console company first. If past sales of GTA were meh, there is no reason for them to put it on PC.

If I had to guess, it is going to come out for the PS4 in a new HD version and THEN they MIGHT put it out on PC 8-10 months after, but not before then.

Well, I still have a PS4 😎

Maybe it's because gamers with refined gaming palates who game on PC because it is the superior gaming platform are intelligent enough to avoid console gaming drivel like GTA.

*ducks*

Obviously someone hasn't played it.

It is not without certain flaws but it is a great game.

To be fair they are a console convert, without the PC GTA may not have gotten to the 3D stage, let alone a massive hit franchise.

They owe us Windows faithful. We've been grinding the Apple/Jobs ax since the Pixar lawsuit. Without us to keep the RDF at bay they might have said a car in GTA looks like a car in Toy Story and killed that franchise too.

Wow after i watched the video i found myself clapping.Mind is blown. Not lying about the clapping either. A eternity later and its finally gonna be here.

Now i have something new to look forward this fall besides The Walking Dead. Life is good.

A great game GTA5 maybe, but Rockstar's ports are usually sloppy and lazy. With the silence from them until now on a PC release, I don't think they should be rewarded for it.

Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail. Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California.

Switch between the interconnected lives of Michael, Trevor and Franklin as they embark on a series of heists across Los Santos and Blaine County in the biggest, deepest and richest open world experience yet, with game world enhancements that include new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover.

The new generation upgrades also extend to Grand Theft Auto Online, an ever-evolving Grand Theft Auto universe. Rise through the criminal ranks by banding together to complete Jobs for cash, purchase properties, vehicles and character upgrades, compete in traditional competitive modes, or create your own content to play and share with the Grand Theft Auto community.

All new content and gameplay created since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online, including an extensive array of new Jobs, an arsenal of new weapons, scores of new vehicles, new properties and player customizations will also be available for the PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One and PC with much more to come. In addition, the current community of players will have the ability to transfer their Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progression to their choice of PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC.

You know the DL will be huge but for me so worth it. This is such a "desert island" game I can easily uninstall 5 or 6 others to make room for it.

I cared like a year ago. Bah, I'm sure I will buy it. Will be like two years old at that point, right? Yay for me.

Hopefully this iteration of GTA will not include a helicopter/drone task that was so hard myself and countless others stopped playing the game after that point.

There is a helicopter mission, and flying the helicopter is truly awful. Planes are awful as well, but the helicopters are something you want to kill yourself.

I know this game made over a billion dollars, but it just wasn't that good GTA Online was exactly what you'd expect: a bunch of kids being twats. The story was simply not wonderful. And, the map, while vast, was empty. It didn't feel like an actual city.

I agree that GTA Online was bad; actually, I would make the case that GTA Online is the worst game I've ever played, period. However, I disagree with everything else you said. The planes and helicopters are more prone to turbulence than in past GTAs, but they still are simple to fly. The story was great, as far as a GTA game goes, and the different areas actually feel like real places. It didn't top San Andreas in my personal list of the GTA series, but it's the second-best GTA game to date, and well worth the cost of admission.

Hopefully, the fact that the Xbone and PS4 have similar architectures to a PC means the PC port won't be as much of a resource hog as GTA IV was when it was first ported over. I imagine I'll pick this up and play through it yet again (which I'm sure the wife will be thrilled with).
