GTA V: PC Version

I really loved it at first on the 360, but ended up quitting maybe 3/4 of the way through. Mostly because the multiplayer was so bad; GTA 4's multiplayer was better imo, even the rinse and repeat missions. Another case of money-grab ruining the experience (their pay for in-game cash thing).

Hopefully it is changed for the PC release, but on the 360 most missions paid you around $2-3k. Cars and houses cost in the hundreds of thousands to millions, and you lose money every single time you die... even in deathmatch games (wtf?). It was so easy to end up with a crappy car and constantly on the verge of being bankrupt.

But, one mission paid like $12k, so most people just did that single mission over and over and over and over... boring.

Some of the SP missions were really cool though; especially the bank robbing missions, but they were few and far between. I'll probably pick it up on the PC, but only after it has a huge price drop.

IMO they do not want to release it so fast because of bootleggers...

HA!. Day one the 360 and PS3 versions were already up and ready for downloading assuming you have a cracked console and the requisite firmware. Its 2014, anything you publish will be pirated if there is demand for it. I've given up on this.

This was fixed less than 1 week after release.

I like that they made it hard/time consuming to legitimately make a lot of money. That's how this game should be as far as the online aspect. If everyone can play it for a week or month and have everything, you have no game anymore.

What turned me off was people running around with all this good stuff because they had cheated and found glitches and exploites to get billions of cash. I am pretty sure ROckstar dealt with that but I havent been on Xbox Live in like 4 months now so I cant say for sure.

I really wish the game was coming on PC but at this point I am really leaning towards thinking it wont be. I just think Rockstar does not care about the PC platform anymore...

You make jokes, but we are getting power laces in 2015...

for srs?

i like gta online, whenever they patch something 200 new bugs are found.

last night i joined on xbl and i was put in my car and my car was completely invisible it was just me floating.

g/j rockstar.

I'm starting think Rockstar is holding on to GTA 5 for a money grab, ie, sell to Microsoft as an exclusive to xbox, or vice-versa. I don't think we'll be seeing a release on PC before the next-gen consoles get a taste first, if ever.

Just imagine if microsoft bought exclusive rights to this game for say 3-5 years. (after that the game would mostly be forgotten) Regardless, I still wouldn't run out and buy the new xbox for it with its inadequate graphical ability.

The wait is really getting to me. I've been waiting to get a release date so I can put in for a week's vacation at work. Yes, that's how much I love this series 🙂

I'll probably do the same for the next Fallout game. Any other game, I can usually wait a while for Steam sales but when it comes to GTA or a Bethesda game, you know I'll be getting it on launch day.

Rockstar is also saying **** you to you. Because PC gamers pirate stuff.

Not all of us do, but an annoying handful of them do.

specially with multiplayer being a more important part of the game this time, I think it's no good excuse, sales for consoles right now are probably slow for this game, if piracy made making good money with "ports" impossible how could you explain all the other titles coming out for PC?
think of the "CODs" and so on... no to mention Skyrim, which doesn't even include MP, is extremely easy to pirate and as far as I know sold more on PC than PS3.

Piracy is the scapegoat answer. Rockstar is a console company first. If past sales of GTA were meh, there is no reason for them to put it on PC.

If I had to guess, it is going to come out for the PS4 in a new HD version and THEN they MIGHT put it out on PC 8-10 months after, but not before then.

I think this is pretty safe to say as well. They have no priority for a PC version of the game.
