I'm just gonna stop by after work. No point to wait in line when I can't play it.

Last time they did a midnight release for a game I was getting they said the line was about an hour but I was in and out in 2 minutes the next day.

I got a text around 7:30 PM that Amazon has shipped my order and should expect delivery tomorrow. Hopefully, that is enough time for me to get it. >_> Should be playing when I get home.

Fired it up last night and played a few missions as Franklin. OMG this game is a blast. Love how Franklin and his initial compadre are basically a riff off of one of my favorite mid 90's movies. At least initially.

First time in a long time I am looking forward to delving into a game.

Stopping by Wal-Mart on my lunch break. If none are there, maybe over to Best Buy.
We'll see!
I ended up borrowing my friend's PS3. They bought it as a Bluray player and don't even have any games for it. 😀

I felt like I got tricked into buying IV based on the incredibly positive reviews, and then felt it had a terribly shallow world and painfully bad controls. I'd have given it a C. I played RDR and would have given that a C as well. Is V any different from those?

I agree with GTA4 but RDR was a pretty damn good game.

I've already notified the GF she is not to talk to me between the hours of when I get off work and when I am going to bed. And that my weekend is completely booked up. >_>

I should have it when I get off work today. Watched a few streams of Free Roam last night, and it was looking good.

That would be awesome. RDR was my game of the generation up until this point. I had so much fun in the game world. We'll see if I feel that way after I pick up GTA today.

I really liked RDR online, but I thought the single player was a bit too sparse in things to do. I understand that is for the setting, but I really didn't like having to just ride for an hour to do a mission, just to have nothing to do unless I ride another hour. I actually liked the story, for the most part, though. I never played the DLC.

I felt this way too. For me though a lot of it has to do with the setting. I am not much a fan of the old west and the barren desert landscape.

Yea I thought RDR was an awesome game. I really do hope they make a sequel on the new systems.

There's absolutely no basis in this, just something I'd love to play be it from Rockstar or anyone (RDR is one of my favorite games):

A sprawling epic that follows a character's journey from a WWI POW, to prohibition, to the great depression, and on through the dust bowl. Call it a spiritual sequel to RDR.

Um, no thanks. I don't want to be a farmer in the great depression eating onion "burgers". Please either stick with the spaghetti western feeling or something else not entirely awful.

Lol. I mention WWI, prohibition, and the rest and your impression is a farming sim? Sheesh. Where's your imagination?

And a little more on topic - I was close to buying digital yesterday to have for today, but held off to wait to see whether there's any difference between disc and digital (for PS3). Now after what I'm reading I'll probably just wait it out and get this the first time it dips below $40.

I bought mine digital last night and it was worth it. I'm about to fire it up now I'll check back in later weigh my thoughts on it.

I loved RDR that game was better then GTA 4 in my eyes
