Lol. I mention WWI, prohibition, and the rest and your impression is a farming sim? Sheesh. Where's your imagination?

The most boring times in history (the Great Depression) is not a place I'd want a game based from. Prohibition in like Chicago might be decent, but we don't need another FPS, nor do we need some garbage dust bowl based game.

Onion burgers, lmao good one
This was a real thing then. They could not afford much meat, so they replaced it with the food they had (onions). I like onions, but no thanks. Keep that poor person garbage to yourself! Yuck!

And a little more on topic - I was close to buying digital yesterday to have for today, but held off to wait to see whether there's any difference between disc and digital (for PS3). Now after what I'm reading I'll probably just wait it out and get this the first time it dips below $40.

After what you are reading??? Everything is absolutely positive on this game...

Well, that is stupid... Signature is required for my delivery to be completed. Now, I don't get GTA until tomorrow. Wtf?

Was it FedEx or ups? I guess who ever shipped it required for it to be signed. I've had expensive stuff shipped to me without signature and usually a neighbor will hold it for me. Wonder why for a game, would they require a signature.

It was UPS, and the thing is, I had Madden 25 delivered a bit ago, and they left it. I think it might be because it was next day and that requires a signature or something... Well, Amazon, you've had the order for a long time. The fact you chose to wait until the last minute to ship it, and then have it delivered at 11:30 AM on a Tuesday and require a signature is beyond my comprehension...

Oh well, I guess I will have to sign the UPS slip and let them leave it tomorrow.

I went and got it during lunch but have to finish the day of work. My big problem will be forcing myself to go to the gym, because missing one day really won't kill me.

One day will kill you! Miss one day, might as well miss two. And after two, well, this week is 'ruined', might as well start over next week. And after a week, eh, I can start the next week, because it will be the first of the money... The excuses build up quick!

Plus, by going to the gym, you miss maybe an hour of playing? You're going to shower anyway (I assume and hope!).

I go to the gym for 2 hours plus I shower after, so it would be a lot longer. Plus I can go on Saturday morning to make up for the missed day.

ive had plenty of things shipped from amazon that came the following day that never required a signature. i wonder if they had special instructions for this game or something, that is odd. i've had things come ups, usps, and fedex.

Where I live if ups, there is a ups center you can go to and pick it up if it is near you. I realize not all cities may have one so I'm not sure if this is an option for you.

Yeah, there is one near me, but it is like half an hour away. So, I get home around 6PM, drive to the UPS location (if they are even open), drive back home and then I get like an hour before I hit the gym. Eh, not really worth it. I'll just wait for tomorrow. The strange thing is my apartment building has a locked, enclosed lobby where the mail boxes are. The UPS guy has a key. I don't understand why he can't leave it there and requires a signature. I've had some things (most expensive things), I've had to sign for and I can just sign the UPS slip and he will leave them.

That is quite a long time at the gym. I can't imagine spending that much time unless I am playing basketball or something. =(

Yeah I used to live in an apartment area with the lobby being locked. Many times I would ask the lady in the office if she could just hold the package for me or before she leaves for the day have someone bring it up to my place. They did that for the pc when I built it because it did require some stuff signed and it was a Friday so if I wouldn't have asked her, I would have been stuck without a computer until the next Tuesday.

I'm working from home today and I've been logged in since 7am so I'll probably go to gamestop to pick up my reserved copy in an hour or so.

I know what you mean I save it for days like this where I don't have much work...because we are close to the end of the sprint so it's all testing stuff to be done.

It saves me time because in bad traffic it almost takes me 1.5hrs to get back home on really bad days.

And the same was said about GTA IV when it came out, with the perfect scores to go with it, and I never got into it 1/10th as much as a lot of people did. I didn't complete the campaign due to lack of interest, or even sink gobs of hours into it causing general mayhem (like I did with Vice City or SA). Then when RDR came out a few years later it pretty much curbed any interest left because of how fantastic the single player campaign was. Don't get me wrong I really want to buy it because it seems like it's everything GTA IV wanted to be, but I'm really stuck on the fence given my lukewarm reaction to the last one. But with all that said, my little brother is a GTA maniac so I'll have a chance to play it by the weekend at the latest if not this evening if I decide to stop by my parents after work. I may well play it for ten minutes and stop at Walmart on my way home to pick it up for all I know. 🙂

We are close to the end of a sprint and it isn't the "we don't have much to do because of testing" stage. >_>

Well I'm a midtier developer and so far I've been testing batch stuff and all this bad data so there isn't much I can do. Someone on my team works from home every Friday...tell me work gets done then haha.

My little brother wants gta 5 but I've spent a little too much this period to buy him a copy, he will have to wait until next pay. Hope he won't see me on ps3 with the status 'is playing gta V' he will freak.

My buddy got it last night and played until 6am..says it's the best game he's played so far. He rode a rollercoaster, went to a strip club, chased a guy that stole some lady's purse, and the usual beat people with baseball bat scenario. Says the helicopters and planes are fun too.

The Great Depression is the most boring time in history, eh?

Lol... wow.
