Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I could swear this has happened before. ATI releases a new product and nvidia follows with a late launch of a faster product which is more expensive. Then ATI releases a newer part and an x2 which basically bring the high end parts within range of each other, while ATI owns the $150 - $200 market for the near future.
The only thing I'm concerned with is what will be the chip/card to have come early next year in the $150 - $200 range since my 22" Samsung "only" runs at 1680x1050 anyway. I have the feeling the 5850 or 5870 will be that card, but nvidia should feel free to surprise me.
I am not sure if we are going to see $150-$200 DX11 NV part in at least 8-9 months.
This market will belong to AMD.
The thread topic seems wrong in the light of the today's paper launch.

Exactly , If you go back a few threads in the Video section you will see I repeatedly said that this would occur, It has , This thread title Alone says it all . But I would add a bit more to what was learned today .
NV said they had working silly. But failed to show it ,Unless I missed something . Heres What I think . I said it befor I'll say it again , I don't believe NV has working silly that can compete.
I think NV will struggle to get true DX10.1 , Well see if there cards can do 10.1 the full spec. (Yes I know its a DX11 card , But ATI was ready for DX11 1 year ago. Small changes is all.)
I think NV has the same problem ATI had with the R520. I think NV is going to struggle getting this chip to work anywhere near its spics.
Thats what I think . Same as this topic being pure BS. Thats what I think .
