We live in a sleepy little development, nice quaint townhomes here in southwest, FL... i've been lucky that I have snowbirds on either side of me so we basically have our area to ourselves... most of the other people are either young professionals (30+) or elderly (65+)

Well two doors down from me, three or four 18-19 year olds moved into a 2 bedroom unit. The first night there, they were having a party, no biggie. Except the next morning there was a empty 15-20 gallon fish tank out on the sidewalk behind the house (runs behind all our units) filled to the brim with beer cans, as well as a choice few scattered around the lawn. Took em a day or two to clean it up, but they did.

Tonight I come home to find their little black bunny (which I saw hopping around on their lanai the other day) sitting in my parking space. I creeped up, he didn't move. I honked, he didn't move. So i parked in the guest parking down the street and walked up to him, he started hopping around under the other cars nearby. I walked around back and they were just sitting out there drinking again, so I told em their bunny got out. They said they tried to catch him about an hour ago or so, but he wouldn't come, so they gave up. I gave them a puzzled look and walked away.

I feel like such an old fart (im only 26), but I why the hell did they move here? Grrr... Time to get a real house so we don't have to be so close to everybody...

UPDATE: So its been about two weeks now, they have had about 3-4 parties until 4am, they backed the moving truck into the side of the building and ripped off a part of our shared roof, and they had some guys over last night that decided it would be a great idea to take a baseball bat to not only the car of one of the guys who lives there, but also a random neighbor across the street. There is now glass strewn ALL over the street, I can't even walk my dog out the front door anymore. I don't know exactly the story behind last night, but the cops were indeed called as I heard them roll up about 3am. Get them the hell outta here!

Its all of our yards... There are about 8 townhouses attached per "building", 10-15 buildings

Noisy / messy neighbors stink.

Luckily the price of the 3 bedroom town homes 500k for 1700sq in my area keeps most of the youngness out.

Although a family did just move in they must have packed 10 people in there very noisy and are yelling in a different language a lot. Their rat-dog is always barking too. Luckily closing all the windows shuts it out. I feel sorry for whever moves in around them, I am down the street and I can hear them. :(

I re-read the black bunny part a couple of times thinking he meant a VW Rabbit or something and not an actual bunny rabbit.

Yikes! an "old fart" at 26! :)

Frankly, what you describe seems pretty mild compared to some of the outrageous behavior I encountered while living in apartments. Give them some time to settle down. I imagine the manager will hear many complaints from your other neighbors if they don't. It sounds like you have a really sweet set-up there.

If you can last 8 or 9 years, then they'll all be 26 too.

So how did the rabbit stew turn out? Maybe you should ask the new neighbors if they would like a taste.....

There isn't a manager really... All of the units in here are privately owned, with a few rented out (including the unit the kids are living in)
