screen capture and post link.

This, we can't really comment unless we see what the deal is on the site.

If it is really $25 off of a purchase of $50 or more, then yes, there is no point.

If it is $25 and they give you a $50 coupon, then I agree with everyone else.

Doesn't look like it's a $50 gift card, it says you're buying $25 off $50. And it costs $25.

you give groupon $25

you get a piece of paper "25 off 50"

you go to store and buy something for 50

you give store groupon

you leave.

But that doesn't make any sense. You still have to buy 50 dollars of stuff so you're out 50 bucks.

*checks sarcasm meter* fuck I can't tell.

you give groupon $25
you give store groupon

additional $25 cash expenditure not found.

To simplify:

You are going to pay groupon $25 for a $50 bill. Thing is, only one particular store will take that particular $50 bill.

i am going to put my neck on the line and say that the deal structure is going to work the same no matter how it's worded.

"Groupon -Deal of the Day~ Save $25 off $50 at GAP off clothing & Accessories~EVEN SALE ITEMS! One Day Only!"

which actually leads to this

"$25 for $50 Worth of Apparel at Gap"

$25 for $50 worth is different from
$25 off $50 worth when you are paying $25 for the coupon

save 25 off 50 is correct but that wording is needlessly complicated

you give groupon $25

you get a piece of paper "25 off 50"

you go to store and buy something for 50

you give store groupon

you leave.

in that scenario you are paying $50 for $50...
