I bought a nordstrom rack groupon. $25 for $50 worth of stuff.

I went to nordstrom rack. I "bought" a pair of shoes for $75. When I went to pay, I gave them my groupon. It came up as a nordstrom rack gift card for $50.

The balance due was $25.

My total out of pocket expense was $50 for $75 shoes.

But it's not. You still have to buy 50 bucks worth of stuff, then you get 25 dollars off a 125 dollar purchase minus the 50 dollars you're already out to save 75 dollars minus 25 dollars you spent on the groupon means you're losing money. You people just don't seem to get it.
