Grilling disappointment.

Belgian Waffler
Fired up the grill, went back inside to get the ground turkey mush (turkey, minced onion, worcestershire, season salt and parsley) for some turkey burgers, came back out... no more flame; out of gas. 🙁

Hot plate it is.

That reminds me... I've gotta finish getting my spare tank that I found while kayaking. Just a couple hundred yards to go to get it to the parking area!

Grilling with gas? Fail!

We all know charcoal tastes better but most like the convince of propane. Do you go through the trouble to grill w/charcoal on a weeknight?, be honest...

Ah this happened to me today with my chicken. Had to finish it off in the fryer with some olive oil and lemon.

QFT, shame my apartment does not allow grills.

Mine didn't either and I promptly ignored that rule. Why can't they put a few grills in a common area so everyone gets a chance to enjoy an American tradition??

Solution: Weber Professional (there's a Char-Broil equivalent out there too).

Propane starter... charcoal to cook. Best of both worlds! 😀

Yea, OP ought to be shot for not adhering to this basic rule of manhood.

*yawn*

Only time I'll use charcoal is for a pit bbq that will cater to... oh, say 20+ people. Fucking grill snobs.

Yep, my car runs on 87 octane strawberry douche and gets a whopping 22mpg, thanks.

The fail in this thread is ground turkey. I can't imagine why anyone would cook or eat that.

Probably because a turkey burger done right tastes just as good as an all beef burger (in a different way), and the fact that I had ground turkey and no ground beef in the freezer?

God forbid anyone broaden they culinary horizons.

Notice Weber only has one model of that grill. It's like they said "fine you losers, here's your fail because some losers will buy it"

sorry to hear about the tank woes.

if its not too troublesome you could go about hooking up a natural gas line to your grill. Conversion kits are out there and you will never run out of fuel again.

You are so very WRONG!

I own a Weber Professional and so does Bobby Flay and Rick Bayless.

I only need to run the propane for 10 to 15 minutes and the coals start to turn white. Turn the gas off and 10 minutes later I'm at 700 degrees cooking directly over the coals. 400 degrees indirect cooking.

Nicest thing about it is how unoften I have to worry about how much propane I have. I can go a whole season, cooking twice a week, and not have to get my tank refilled. Of course, I do have to buy bags of charcoal every other week.
